Lots of options - Edit
I really wanted to try a vegan Sachertorte and was glad to see they offered one. They also had vegan Raffaello which I had been thinking about a lot lately so got some of those as well.
Read moreThere was a lady and a young guy behind the counter. The lady was really sweet and friendly, the guy could have been more service oriented.
I didn't like the Sachertorte, but I've never had a non-vegan one either so I think it was just how it's supposed to taste. The Raffaello were way too sweet and aside from the almond in middle and the coconut on the outside it didn't really taste like Raffaello. It didn't have the cream filling, just a dough made of sugar and coconut from what it tasted like. I think if you promise an imitation of a popular sweet it should be pretty close to the original.
There are so many other options here though that I'd definitely go back and try more, and I'll still give a good rating because I don't think me not liking Sachertorte should affect the score.
Pros: So many options
Cons: Didn't really get what I expected

Supermarket - Edit
FR (English below)
I just go for the supermarket because I needed some supplies for my trip in Vienna.
The place is very well located, next to Westbahnhof, one of the main trainstation of Vienna. The team is welcoming, kind and helpful. There are a lot of items (beauty products, salty or sugary snacks, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh or iced products...) ans the prices are common for a vegan store (it means not cheap...).
It’s a safe place for vegans !
I might go back there.
Pros: Tout est vegan/All is vegan , Propre et bien situé/Clean and well located, Equipe gentille et dispo/Nice and helpful team
Cons: Cher/expensive

Huge Portions - Amazing Food - Edit
No complaints here. Huge portions starting at €5. We got the Dahl with rice and a whole plate of vegan lasagna for €12. The lasagna was enough for us to split and we ended up taking most of the Dahl home. And it’s perfect because you can do your grocery shopping right after your meal 😊

delicious soup - Edit
The soup was very delicious, also not that expensive. The meal of the day, dahl with rice, wasn't so tasty in my opinion, there was too much of some spice in the dahl and the rice wasn't done properly, but it was still good. Very filling. Nice store as well, with all things vegan! You could also chose some other dishes, everything looked good, and the location is really close to the shopping street as well, so that's convenient.

My favourite neighbourhood café! - Edit
Whether you're just hungry for a meal or need to get some groceries, this is the place to be!
Read moreEndlessly friendly staff, a variable-but-delicious menu, great music (and not too loud), excellent coffee/tea and your choice of (nearly) all the non-dairy milks you can think of!
As for the 'Lebensmittel' on offer: while some items can be pricey, I love the non-plastic produce bags, the fact that (almost) everything's organic and that things are local whenever possible. Even if you do the bulk of your shopping somewhere cheaper, it's easily the best place to get all the specialty vegan products you may desire. Now that Veganz is gone, this is Vienna's vegan mecca, and I'm so glad it's locally-owned by such kind people. 😊
P.S. - I love the array of plant milks for the drinks on offer, but I was rather disappointed to see that they are from the Provamel brand. Nothing in particular against them, but considering Joya is an Austrian brand and has all the same milks (including a soya designed for coffee) I think it'd make more sense to use them instead.

Pros: The warmest, most lovely staff, Yummy food, A great, quiet place to study/read/relax
Cons: Can get a bit crowded around noon-ish, Not too many GF savoury options (but it varies), The plant milks in bistro aren't the local brand

Great bakery section - Edit
When I was looking around the excellent shop, I was pleased to see there was a cafe and bakery attached too. We shared a chocolate raspberry croissant and nougat biscuit heart, both of which were lovely. We also got two bio-croissants to take away and they kept well for breakfast the next morning. The croissants are more doughy than pastry-like, but they were really tasty and hearty. Recommended!

This store is a dream come true for us vegans - Edit
You must must go to this vegan grocery store. My spouse and I went to have a little nibble in their cafe, he had more than a little nibble--he bought a total of six different bakery items. All were delicious. More importantly though, for us the grocery store was as if we had entered Nirvana. The range of vegan alternative meats, the range of vegan cheeses, the range of vegan butter/margarine was amazing. We bought the vegan sliced cheese called Jeezini Provence, and it was the best we had ever had. Even better than Daiya the one we buy in the States. Then we had the vegan butter Alsan--wonderful. We are going back to stock up on the vegan products (they are such good quality and biological and so interesting--for example, vegan scampi...). This store is a dream come true for us vegans!
