Vegan Options As an Afterthought

While it’s nice to find a place with a dedicated vegan option or 2 while traveling, the ones at this restaurant cost more than the omniverous counterparts- while having smaller portions and no sides. It’d be one thing if the BBQ pulled pork was made with a costly meat substitute, but jackfruit is affordable and shouldn’t cost that much. The texture was also not great, and the meal had no protein. It’s an ok choice if you’re traveling with meat eaters and need something (anything) but there are much more intentional options in the Springs.

Limited Options, High Prices

I was excited to come across a restaurant in Eureka Springs with a dedicated vegan restaurant while on a recent trip. However, there were only four options, which felt very limited compared to their giant non-vegan menu. The prices were quite high, especially considering sandwiches from their regular menu come with fries but have to be purchased as an add-on for any sandwiches on the vegan menu. My food was tasty, but someone in my party ordered the BBQ jackfruit and the texture was pure mush.
