Amazing cakes - Edit
Went here for breakfast - they have a brunch option but I’m not sure how much of it is vegan. Had a fantastic vegan sandwich and and OUTSTANDING piece of cake. There were about 6 vegan cake options to choose from. Would highly recommend this joint - coffee was pretty darn good too.

Tasty brunch and relaxed atmosphere - Edit
Came in twice in one day while visiting Ryga. Coffee with oat milk was good but vegan sandwiches lacked taste and were too dry for us. Came in later for lunch, the food was very delicious, would recommend. Cozy atmosphere. Good music.

Amazing Coffee & Sweets - Edit
Very trendy cafe in Riga's New Town. It's veggie but there's plenty of vegan options. Staff were friendly and helpful in pointing out vegan options.
Read moreHad the vegan salad sandwich for lunch, which was okay but unfortunately, a bit dry.
However, I stayed for coffee and a vegan cherry "Bounty" and they were AMAZING so my disappointment was short-lived.
My latte with their homemade almond milkwas delicious - their baristas clearly know what they're doing. The Bounty was so, so good. Definitely recommend.
Pros: Great coffee, Amazing sweets, Lots of vegan options
Cons: Disappointing sandwich

Cheap eats and great coffee - Edit
We stopped by for a dinner in mid September, and were thrilled by the affordable prices (4 EUR or so for a veggie burger) and good drinks on offer. MiiT carries a number of good coffee roasters, including Coffee Collective from Copenhagen, and also has a few beers on tap. Plus, tasty vegan pastries and desserts.

Good Value for Lunch and Brunch - Edit
This is just an update regarding the brunch they host on Saturdays.
Read moreIt's 90% vegan, including pancakes, and plenty of hot dishes and salads. All for 9.5€, which I think it's a good value.
Booking a table is adviced, as it's very popular.
If you have already tried other vegan places in Riga, this is a good spot to check out as well!
--------------------------
Visited in August 2016.
I was not so eager to go to Miit after reading the previous reviews; but I'm glad I actually gave it a chance.
I don't know whether they have changed recently; but I found it to be very vegan friendly.
For start, the lunch menu (soup + main) from Monday to Friday is always all-vegan. They also had vegan ice-cream and sweets.
And, for dinner, the staff mentioned that they have many vegan options (I haven't been for dinner yet).
The lunch set is great (less than 5 euros for small soup and main); and, personally, I found it to be a much better value than other places in Riga where you can eat a vegan-friendly lunch, tastewise and amount-wise.
Coffee was also great, by the way.
Staff speaks English, was friendly and seemed to have knowledge about veganism; so I would say it's a safe place to eat as a vegan.
I'd certainly visit again.

Yes, yes, yes to Miit: great food, small prices, amazing dessert and (I bet) kicking coffee - Edit
Miit has that vibe of trendy coffee shop where they take their coffee very seriously. It so happens I do not drink the stuff so I cannot comment on it, but I can tell you that you will want to stop by this place for their super well priced, tasty and generous lunch!
Read moreI had their small set menu (means small soup rather than large, lunch menus are always vegan they told me) for (if I remember right!) 5 or 6 euros. That day they were serving a lovely red cabbage soup and a very innovative Mexican falafel bowl: the bottom was well seasoned raw cauliflower cous cous, topped by falafel balls and a salad of fresh tomatoes and fresh mango! Yum! it felt so healthy and fresh but also a bit indulgent and filling.
Otherwise you can get veggie or vegan sandwiches for 3.50 euros: bargain!
If you have a sweet tooth, the main draw here will be the dessert: their dessert cabinet has at least 15 different options, of which around ten are vegan. Over several visits I tasted their vegan brownie (lovely!), their snicker bar (very generous size to be made from scratch and only 2 euros) and their raspberry coconut bounty bar (same: cheap and big!), but there was also a cherry Latvian cake I didn't get to try and much more.
The main room at Miit (there is at least another one) is simple, light and airy, with a hint of studenty hip cafe' to it. Plenty of poster and other info on the walls and some of the staff have skater steez, but zero attitude which is great.
I would say it is worth coming to Miit even just for dessert... but their lunches are too good to commit to that statement, so come to have both lunch and a sweet treat and you will love them just as I do.
Pros: Their lunch set menu is great value for money!, The savoury food is tasty and even innovative!, Their sweets are just to die for: lots of choice!
Cons: None at all!

Good vegan food - Edit
Nice Café with friendly staff. We ordered burgers, which were delicious and creative. I'd prefer the bun more cross, but that's a matter of taste. We also had different choices of humus with olives. The humus was well flavored. No junk food, it's more on the healthy side.

We went there three days in a row for lunch as it was few minutes by walk from the place that we rent.

The food is good, freshly made and change everyday. It also cheap for the big portion. (like 5/6euros for a main and a soup).
The deserts and sweets are really well made and also cheap. We tried the brownie, the bounty, the snicker...etc
The coffee selection is large and will satisfy everyone for sure.
Definitely my fav in Riga ! Can't wait to go back ;)
