Not 5 stars in my view - Edit
The food was average and the service quite slow as mentioned by another reviewer. We ordered spring rolls in addition to 2 mains and they arrived 15 minutes after we finished our main dishes (at least 30 mins from when we ordered them).
Read moreThe pad see ew and pineapple curry were just ok. The spring rolls were massive (5 pieces) but were bland and mostly filled with lettuce.
Not sure why this place is rated so highly but this was our experience. Prices are good though; no disputing that.

Not quite worth the wait - Edit
I love the food and the price but the service is a serious deterrent. The first time I waited an hour between my salad and my entree and tonight I went with my parents and sat for two hours waiting for our second course (the salads this time). Finally we went downstairs and they’d just folded our bill and forgotten about it. We could have waited all night thinking that that was just part of the experience.

Deliciously cheap and clean - Edit
Food was good portions, felt very full with one dish, which was quite cheap and under $5AUD per meal. The food is made with less oil so everything tasted particularly nicer. Ladies running the place were nice and there’s a clean toilet here and free wifi. Atmosphere of the place was nice as well.

Decent tasty foods! - Edit
Nice place, decent value for the price you pay. Menu with most popular Thai dishes in vegan version, all same price. Price stays equal when you ask to leave out the rice. Not so much new exciting foods but nevertheless 5 stars for being here in cm. I could eat here quite often if I’d lived around here.

Fantastic food and service. - Edit
Some of the best Thai food I’ve had. The Som Tam (Papaya salad) is amazing. They also do vegan deserts, I would recommend going for the carrot cake which comes with ginger tea 🤤

Simple, fresh, and yum - Edit
A nice little restaurant with good vibes. I chose the Pad See Ew off the menu - definitely a lot more veggies and a lot less drenched-in-oil than your standard local restaurant which was nice! Definitely ask what fresh fruits they have, in which they can make into a smoothie - my friend and I had a mango, banana, passionfruit smoothie which was super thick, cold, and overall bomb delicious.

Excellent meal preparation. - Edit
I have been eating Thai food for over 15 years and the Pad See Ew I had tonight was the best I have ever had. Filled with vegetables and fresh noodles, Wow!! The portions are quite large, don't let the good prices make you order too much, save it for the tip. Great food, great flavor and excellent service.

Delicious vegan Thai Food - Edit
We were welcomed very warmly and ordered too many dishes. The waiter expected it to be too much and asked if we want to cancel one 🤣 extremely tasty food. We had the Pad Thai, Morning Glory and Papaya Salad.

We went to Mr Green for lunch today. The food here is really tasty and excellent value for money. Between two of us we ordered a vegan pad Thai, a pineapple curry with rice and a papaya salad. All three dishes were delicious. I especially enjoyed the papaya salad; it was so tasty and the flavours were really well balanced. We are going again tomorrow!!

An amazing place with nice selection of vegan dishes and desserts. Very clean, wonderful breeze inside the cafe, which is precious at Chiangmai heat. A peaceful, graceful way of serving the dishes, you eat them with gratitude and blessings.. my choice in Chiangmai! Many thanks to the owner. Regards, Nadin

Beautiful Vegan Food - Edit
We found this place on a whim and were so glad we did - we both got the vegan pad Thai and a chocolate brownie to share. The Pad Thai was incredible and the best I've had in Thailand so far with delicious tofu! The chocolate brownie was so so so good too. We will definitely be returning and for 68baht a meal, you really can't complain!

Officially enters my Top 3 Veg restaurants in CM - Edit
I have been to Mr Green before, but today was the first time I had food cooked to order rather than the buffet. What a major difference that made.
Read moreI know the chef from her time at "Happy Green". I was lucky enough to talk to the chef directly and ordered something not on the menu, but similar to a red curry without the soup. It was remarkable. A large plate with a variety of perfectly cooked vegetables and a small amount of tofu. I ordered spicy and it was near perfect. Just a beautifully balanced dish with the 4 flavors that Thai food is famous for.
Some friendly customers on nearby tables made the experience even more enjoyable. The prices here are surprisingly low. I am sure I would pay at least 20++ baht more at other Veg places in Chiang Mai.
Pros: Great tasting food in a cosy setting, If not busy, I can talk to the chef. My old friend, Convenient location in NE corner of old city
Cons: The menu is only in English, No tempeh on the menu

Superb flavour, gorgeous presentation, great pricing - Edit
Mr. Green is the best eating establishment by far that I'm so very glad to have stumbled into in Chiang Mai. I've tried some other veg places and paid plenty more for inferior quality and taste. I hope to get through most of the menu during this visit, and expect each time I'll be similarly delighted. Some cooks just know how to balance flavours in an appealing fashion to enhance the ingredients used!
Read moreI am not a review-writing person, and joined Happy Cow just so I could make it known how entirely thrilled I am with this place.
Usually I'm a dessert fiend, and while they have a few that look great - I've been so satisfied with the savoury options I haven't tried any yet. This is coming from someone who's been known to order 3 desserts and forgo any "real food"/main course elsewhere.
I've also enjoyed the fruit juices which appear to have minimal if any ice in them. Also well-priced, these are served in icy-cold frosty glasses that boost the fruity goodness even further.
This all-vegan restaurant has the best Thai food that I've enjoyed so far... anywhere! I can't wait to return and will probably do so tomorrow!
Pros: well shaded & ventilated comfy even on hot days, free Wi-Fi, absolutely consistently excellent food
Cons: no air conditioning - but see pro above

Great variety of vegan dishes and really tasty food! My girlfriend and I tried mashed potatoes and tomatoes, pad see ew (noodle dish) and a red curry. Our eye was a bit bigger than our belly this time as portions are really good and we could have been fine with just one dish each but we wanted to try different things.
Read moreSuper nice presentation too. And extraordinary value for money since all dishes are 68baht

Tasty, good value - Edit
This sweet little cafe has many Thai favorites on the menu. We didn't see a buffet and ordered off of the 68 baht menu. Kevin got the pumpkin curry and I got the papaya salad. Both were delicious!
Read morePapaya salad is traditionally pretty spicy. The server asked if I wanted it spicy and I said a little spicy having ordered it spicy before elsewhere (it melted my face.) They did scrape most of the seeds out of the chilis but it was still hot by American standards but not unbearable (for me.) If you don't handle chilis well, order it not spicy.
We also grabbed one of their chocolate chip cookies for later (35 baht.) It was also tasty.
We enjoyed sitting outside at the bar facing the street. We will likely visit again while we're here.
Pros: mostly Thai food, seems healthy - not heavy or oily
Cons: not super fast
