Great food, great people, great atmosphere. I recommend trying one of everything. You can't go wrong. Menu is a la carte, pick from a list of items. Mix and match as your taste buds like. I always get the lentils and vegetable stew. Their Chai is a must also.

Hands down this is some of the best vegan food I have had. They have a buffet during lunch hours and a dinner menu in the evenings. Everything is delicious but I would highly recommend the risotto, pizza, salad, lentils and gnocchi. All of their dishes are only $4 so you can order a variety of dishes to share!

This review is just for the health store and not for the cafe/ restaurant. I went there hoping to find some organic groceries but realised that, they sell mostly pills and a few natural products, nothing fresh. So dont go there is you want to buy fresh vegetable or fruits.

I have never been to their buffet, but their dinners are AMAZING! I don't know if I would call their Ethiopian selections "authentic," but all the meals I've ever had here were great! They use fresh ingredients, have friendly service, are quick, and also cheap. What more could you ask for? =D

Rochester has a vegan restaurant! - Edit
Natural Oasis is no longer a natural foods store with lunch buffet. It is now a restaurant serving lunch and dinner and everything is vegan (though it does sell vitamins in the front). Their menu changes daily and features local produce, and they have probably a dozen entrees, a few drink choices, and one or two dessert choices per day. Each entree is $4, and the portions are reasonable. The food is unique and often highlights various cultural delicacies including Ethiopian. My favorites have been their risottos which feature cashew cheese, their spaghetti squash with fresh tomatoes, and a chocolate mousse. They serve this spongey yet tasty Ethiopian bread with your entrees. The setting is just lovely and they make everything when you order it. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Natural Oasis is a natural grocery store and also offers a buffet. You can get many types of vegan/organic fairtrade groceries. I ate there over a year ago and had the Ethiopian buffet. It was very good with a diverse range of foods, mostly vegan. Say hello to Solomon the owner, a friendly and helpful person.

I visited this cafe for the lunch buffet and it was by far the best meal I ate while visiting Rochester for a week on business. The (one person) staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent!

A true oasis! - Edit
We visited the cafe at Natural Oasis while visiting Rochester and were quite pleased with the Ethiopian buffet offered there daily; not only was the food tasty but the serving dishes were immediately replenished insuring that the food was always hot, fresh and available. The price was a mere $8 and the staff friendly and helpful. The cafe was clean and cosy and there was ample parking. A definite winner!
