Simple food, lots of options - Edit
Not sure if I would come back, the food was alright. Many options on the vegan/veggie menu but had to ask to make sure. I’m pretty sure they can veganise their veggie dishes.

Worth a visit, but maybe just one - Edit
Was recommended this restaurant by several different people, its popularly further evidenced by the fact it was packed full when we turned up for lunch just before midday. After waiting a few minutes for a table, we settled down under a cute little wooden awning amongst the plants. The atmosphere of this beautiful garden setting is certainly one of the reasons this place is a favourite amongst travellers.
Read moreThey have a decent amount of plant-based options and a dedicated vegetarian/vegan menu, although I think the vegan options should be clearly marked to differentiate them from the dishes containing diary and egg. The vegan dishes cost between 60-130 baht—pretty good value and reasonable portions sizes. Out of the three dishes I tried, the grilled vegetables with couscous was probably my favourite. Fresh and light with a generous amount of avocado! I also think the grilled eggplant that came in the sandwich was cooked really nicely, just needed a bit more salt.
Ordering was a bit of a hassle and their system is somewhat unorganised. The menu is written on chalkboards next to the impractically situated till, resulting in the main walkway and surrounding tables often being blocked by a large group of people as they browse and then queue up to order.
All in all, worth a visit, but mostly for the cosy atmosphere rather than the food. There are enough fully-veg places in Pai (including Soul Café just opposite) that eating here once was enough for me.
Pros: Lovely greenery 🪴, Good value 💸
Cons: Lots of non-vegan dishes 🙅♀️, Unorganised service 😵💫, Not open for dinner 🕔

Great vegan options - Edit
Large selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The prices were reasonable too. Remember that not everything here is vegan and you have to tell them to make sure it's vegan.

Yum Food and Pretty Place - Edit
(Forgot to take photo) but we came here for breakfast and I had the Grilled vegetables with cous-cous and avocado (you have to ask for no cheese for it to be vegan). It was super delicious and the harissa sauce was awesome. Coffee was average as it was too sweet for me (might have been the soy milk). The vegan/vegetarian options are abundant and look really good. The place itself is super cute and you are really sitting in a little garden with little birds everywhere.

Service is a let down - Edit
They don’t have a good system for taking orders & food. A bit of a wait to order at the till and then even longer for food to be ready. It’s a popular place but it’s not run efficiently so people end up blocking tables waiting for food. The food was pretty decent tasting but not overly filling #Veganuary

Fantastic - Edit
Only a limited number of items on their large menu are listed as vegan, but they also have specials that can be made vegan. I chose a special: grilled veg salad, cous cous, harissa, with feta swapped for tofu. The harissa had no heat at all, but it was still one of the best salads I have ever eaten in my life. Would happily eat this again and again. Big portion, lots of cous cous, price worth it.

Wonderful quiet and central location with healthy and attractive meals - Edit
Very veg-friendly but serve many non-veg items. It's an original Pai favourite of mine though one can find equivalent, or better, value in other places that are entirely vegetarian/vegan. I feel it stands out with respect to ambience; offers a rather organic and natural feel without compromising on comfort.

Huge portions and very good vegan food - Edit
We came here on our first morning to Pai. We arrived at 9:30 on the bus and a search on Happy cow revealed 2 open vegan/vege places, art in chai a vege and a Jay vegan place. We decided to go to art in chai ad it was nearer and had fruit smoothies and healthy breakfast options.
Read moreHowever when we arrived the staff at art in chai said they wouldn't open until 3pm and suggested Om Garden nearby... and it was a lucky strike because the food here is amazing!
Normally we would only go to strictly vegan or vege places and only go to carnivorous places as a last resort or if they had particularly amazing reviews for their food or style. So it's doubtful we would have tried this place during our visit to Pai.
We had pumpkin, coconut and lemongrass soup which was so good, so tasty, thick and creamy. An aubergine and tomatoe tapenade sandwich which was very tasty and huge! A bit on the oily side bit still very nice. My wife had grilled vegetables, couscous and harissa which was also lovely. The cafe itself is surrounded by jungle and garden, it's a very cool spot and I'm glad we chanced it

Cute little cafe in Pai - Edit
Lovely little cafe on a back street in Pai with super cute interior. Lots of food on the menu but it’s sadly VERY meat heavy. When we arrived we were told no coffees, no fruit juices/shakes and no iced drinks (which is what we wanted to order) - yet we saw them taking the same sort of drinks to other people’s tables so we’re confused why we couldn’t order them. I opted for a coconut milk Yorkshire tea! I also ordered a mango and avocado salad and Harry ordered a pumpkin soup. Very yummy and big portion sizes. Sad there isn’t more vegan options available.

Tucked away this beautiful little chill space serves up a heap of vegan food and if it’s not vegan they can adjust it which is what they did for me (substituted feta for hummus on the avocado toast)

Toast could have been toastier though.

My order of Indian Curry was a bit bland (an Indian Curry should be anything but bland). It was still good though and the portions were very large which made up for the high price. The Thai tea with ginger and coconut was sooo good.
