Free Vegan Buffet for Everyone 💚💚💚

The local municipal substation of the ministry of health and environment offers this free vegan buffet daily. Rain or shine. Find them in the parking lot half a kilometer west of Madurwan Rd (also known as Chaloklum, Police or Immigration road).

Look for the gold flags and large banner on the north side. There are a few tables and food is offered first come first serve and they do not accept payment. The cooks are exceptionally friendly and the food is the best on the island; always fresh, clean and vegan.

It's really humbling and magnificent that they take the time and expense to provide these prolific, free vegan meals to a mix of laborers and foreign travelers.

I have hesitated adding this review to HC for some time now, because I expect it might not be sustainable with an increase of patrons, but for actual vegans living on this island of so many fake vegan yuppie scam ventures, with overpriced and horrible food, this one light in the darkness is a real reminder that there are still good Thai people left living on this island, despite the horrifying gentrification.

Pros: Food Equality, Fresh Vegan Panang Curry, Salad and Chilis
