Such a pleasant place to dine, lunch or dinner. - Edit
My wife and I have enjoyed this pleasant restaurant twice now in the past 3 months. We have a difficult time out here in our native Texas countryside finding plant-based options for meals, let alone for dining out. As lifelong Texas farmers you'd think that would not be the case.
So, we travel to the cities on occasion and indulge in some delicious plants! This restaurant was so pleasing the first time, that it warranted a second trip. And we were not disappointed. In fact, we were even further impressed by the food and such gracefulness of the patrons that I knew I had to make this place part of a larger community than just the locals. I would not call this venue "fine" dining in the sense of atmosphere. Rather, it is a simple and open floorplan dining room with a tv along the bar area which, refreshingly, isn't barfing out some ridiculous political "news" program so prevalent everywhere you go here.
The food was superb! Tasted fresh, clean, and very well flavored with the good stuff that makes plant-based taste heavenly. I would tell you what I had, but I don't speak Vietnamese and can't recall the name. It was basically a stir-fried rice with tofu and a ridiculous good amount of all sorts of veggies! Mine had the egg, but they asked when I was ordering if I still wanted it that way before making it. I didn't mind it this time, so I kept it like the menu. My wife had a crispy rice dish that was all vegetables with fried tofu strips, and it also had a good helping of Bok choi. Mmm! Didn't know I liked that stuff!
They also offer all sorts of soups that look absolutely wonderful. Really good animal-free soups. Saw one family of four with small kids all chowing down on a huge bowl of soup that I wish I could have joined in with. They seemed to know their way around the menu, and were all using the chopsticks, too, which makes me sure they eat there quite regularly. Their kids seemed delighted with the food.
Basically, this is just a wonderful place to swing in and refuel the body while simultaneously comforting the brain and soul. For us it's five-star food. It does my soul good to have this kind of dining finally taking off right here in good ole Texas! 'Bout time y'all!
Bottom line: I highly recommend you give it a shot.
