Parking in the front for a quick stop or on the side street (Prospect) if you need to park for longer periods of time. Open Mon-Fri 10:00am-6:00pm, Sat 11:30am-3:30pm. Closed Sun.

The area is surprisingly expensive even in semi-fast food restaurants. On our way home from an exhaustingly long meeting we were hungry, we tried Rock-n-Roots and were pleasantly surprised. We tried one of their sandwiches with a very convincing vegan ‘pulled pork’ with their signature aioli mayo. And a burrito. Other items were very pleasant as well and we kept ordering more. This is not a cheap factory burger joint but the food will keep you feel good afterwards. They also have some take-out of empanadas and vegan cake.

How do I rate this place - Edit
It’s expensive compared to NYC prices. $9 for half a panini which was def good but not great. There really aren’t any vegan places in Long Island so giving it a high rating for that alone.

Small seating area, they're on a corner and space is limited, no bathroom. Minor inconveniences, food is freshly prepared and great. I don't have a favorite but all in you won't go wrong. Desert choices also vary but all delicious. Prices are as posted, not the most economical but by no means outrageous considering the operation overhead of this part of NY.
Pros: Friendly owners you can chat with., Keeping it clean and simple., Tastes great.
Cons: Small seating area makes it tight., No bathroom if you need., Parking is street and can be difficult at wrong hr

I ordered the Chickpea Vegetable Soup and it was outstanding. I also had the jackfruit panini which was also delicious. When I'm back in town I will definitely stop back in. I'm taking the Philly Cheese steak to go. I'm sure it will be just as good.

Ordered a PB&J smoothie, The burrito, the Bacon Cheeseburger special with a side of fries, and the Mac n cheese balls. I appreciated the whole foods health based concept! Considering that, I do think the food could be more flavorful. The smoothie was good but it was like room temperature and we picked the food up 15 minutes after ordering it so it’s not that it had been sitting out. The burrito was pretty flavorless in my opinion but it was fully loaded and I really liked that it was grilled nicely. The burger was really good and the fries were nice and garlicky! The Mac n cheese balls could also have used some more flavor but the sauce it came with was very flavorful and added some nice flavor. Overall it was enjoyable and I would return and try some other things. I also grabbed a ham and cheese sandwich but that will be lunch tomorrow😄#Veganuary

A small vegan lunch joint on the main commercial strip. It has a super-friendly vibe and I sensed that it has loyal regulators. My favorite food was the September special, a Cuban sandwich made with seasoned jackfruit. It was delicious, and the best jackfruit I've ever had. (I'm not usually a big fan, but this was in its own league.)

Was in the area and wanted to try a new place. Friendly staff and food is really good. Forgot to take a pic of the avocado toast with yo egg that I got. I also got a dessert, kombucha, a palm of heart lobster salad and chickpea salad. Looking forward to trying them all. Will definitely visit again. Yummy vegan options

I had the beyond burger and fries. The fries were a little bit al dente and could’ve been cooked a few more minutes. We also tried the wild mushroom soup. The soup could’ve used a little more salt but other than that it was very tasty. I will be coming back to try the gyros and tacos another day.
