comforting AND unique grilled cheez

I had the Vegan Allston and Buffalo Tofu Melt. They were both really delicious, but the Buffalo Tofu Melt was exceptional. A top contender during my Boston vegan food tour! I also love that the menu is clearly labeled. FYI I visited in November 2021 and they required masks and had no indoor seating for the 10 min wait and no outdoor seating for dining. Prices aren't on the website's menu which spooked me at first when deciding on which places to go to, but I figured since I'd be at Grasshopper anyways that I had to try it. I ordered in-person and found the prices to be reasonable (~$8 per sandwich). Glad I went!

Pros: several vegan options, good sandwiches, clearly labeled menu

Cons: serve flesh, serve dairy, no seating

Oh, the grilled cheese

The Allston grilled cheese is amazing.
Cheese, fog jam, arugula and caramelizes onions.
Wroth a trip to gate it!

Vegan menu

Love that they have a whole vegan menu! Made ordering very easy not to have to ask for substitutions. The buffalo tofu grilled cheese was sooo good. And of course you have to have a side of truffle fries. Love that it’s right next to FoMu to finish off with an ice cream.

have a specific vegan menu

The vegan section of the menu is prominent and clearly labeled. I had the buffalo tofu melt and fries. It was great, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable (I had to ask if the fries were vegan, and they confirmed confidently and immediately). Affordable, too!

Best vegan grilled cheese

Roxy’s is always a go to for something cheap and delicious, also somewhere I can bring my non vegan friends because they have all options. It is SO delicious. I usually get the buffalo tofu melt and truffle fries and the taste is 10/10.
