Best vegan sushi I’ve ever eaten! - Edit
We had an absolutely brilliant time at the Secret Garden. Staff were attentive and friendly and the food was excellent - fully vegan with lots of options, a really authentic experience. Whilst it is expensive, the quality is really next-level with beautiful plating, a really varied menu and a lovely ambience.

We had a nice evening with fantastic food there. All vegan restaurant with cozy interior and a great taste experience. Even if the staff seemed to be a little overcharged we waited literally ten minutes for our food to arrive. We had dumplings as starter, a sushi plate for two and vegan Creme Brulee and Matcha Creme Cake for dessert. It was so very delicious but the Sushi plate alone wouldn't have been enough for two slightly hungry people.

A new favourite vegan place of mine in Munich - Edit
After three visits I do not understand many critical reviews here. Maybe we were just lucky? Staff was friendly, the food is excellent although sometimes you need to be a little patient since every time it took about 40min for our main dishes to be served. So this is definitely not a fast food restaurant. :-)

My suggestion: Try the dish "Dichter der Wälder".

Ich weiß nicht warum hier so viele gute Bewertungen entstanden sind oder ob ich mir einfach nur nicht das richtige Sushi ausgesucht habe aber ich war enttäuscht. Qualität naja, Geschmack naja aber dafür sehr teuer. Ich würde nicht nochmal hingehen da habe ich schon besseres veganes Sushi in Mönchen gegessen.

Single, English speaker trying to find veg dishes in Munich is tough. I felt I was accepted wholeheartedly and looked after by the crew here. Everything was vegan & delicious. I can’t speak highly enough- try the sushi. It is incredible!

I can’t speak to the food because we were so turned off by the rude service that we never ended up placing an order. I also typically would not enter a bad review for a vegan restaurant, but knowing that there is another vegan sushi restaurant, Kansha, in Munich makes me feel OK about sharing our experience here. It was incredibly hot the day when we visited. We were glad that the server began to seat us at an outside table, but then another server came up and said that we had to eat inside because the outside table was for 4, and there were 2 of us. They moved us inside, but it was too hot. We asked again about sitting outside, and they refused. There were at least two other couples who were dealing with the same situation, and I considered asking if one of the couples wanted to sit with us at a table for four. By then, though, the servers were giving us such rude looks and were absolutely unfriendly that we were completely turned off. We noticed that one of those couples got the table that we were originally offered, so somehow they convinced the servers to let them sit there. We left and went a few blocks away to another restaurant with outstanding customer service.

The sushi is fine, but I think it is way too expensive considering the quality, ingredients as well as the service and overall atmosphere. In that price range I think they should be more innovative and not just go for avocado, tofu and mango which is served at non-vegan places - would be nice with something else for a change!

The waiters acted like robots. Not a lot of eye contact or interaction with the customers. It’s a busy and popular place, but we were there at 17:00-ish when it wasn’t at all crowded, so I think they could have been more attentive and service-minded.
We paid 60 euros for 32 pieces of sushi, a non-alcoholic strawberry drink and a Fritz cola. We ended up going for a beer and dessert elsewhere.

I never expected a vegan sushi place in the middle of Munich, but this place popped up on my Happy Cow app so I had to go. I went right as it was opening for lunch which seemed to be the perfect time. It quickly became very crowded. The lunch menu also seems to be the best as far as price goes. I got a starter, a huge plate of sushi rolls, and a drink for under 20 euro. The food was phenomenal! It was delicious as it was inventive. I agree with some of the other reviews that service was not the best, but I was more than happy with the food and location/atmosphere. I still think it deserves a 5/5 and a stop if you are in Munich.

Stunning place, amazing food - Edit
First of all the design and the atmosphere is absolutely stunning! The food was superb, lots of different options to choose from and everything works really well together. The menu was clearly very thought through. The dishes were familiar yet with very unique twists added to them. Price is absolutely reasonable for what you get, I would be more than happy to pay more because the food is on another level and everything felt very fancy yet chill. Definitely a must if you like east Asian cuisine and sushi and you're around!

Here the staff is rushing around the whole time, the menu cards are a mess. Pages are falling out, missing or double.
The waitress was impatient during ordering and just slammed our starters on the table to keep on rushing around.
The food itself is just mediocre, taking into consideration that its unreasonably priced I dont recommend going there. As an example we paid 120€ and were still hungry, luckily theres a great Falafel shop nearby.
In the end you pay the same like in a real japanese sushi restaurant but get the quality like in a cheap sushi shop.
I‘d rather recommend Kai Sushi in Würzburg or MakiMaki in Cologne.

Komplett veganes Sushi-Restaurant. Das Sushi wird auch sehr ansprechend präsentiert und ist glücklicherweise abseits vom 08/15 veganen Sushi. Auch die Nachspeisen waren super. Für München fanden wir die Preise auch angemessen.
