Quality vegan treats - Edit
The owners are lovely and obviously very passionate about their craft. During our visit, they had 3-4 vegan cookies and could make up a variety of combinations for vegan cupcakes. (We visited during a heat wave and it was too hot for the vegan versions to sit in the counter display). We chose a vanilla base with lemon blueberry top, and red velvet base with mixed berry top. Both were delicious and we appreciated the use of vegan butter instead of shortening in the frosting.

these cupcakes were delicious and I love the creativity of the flavors here! usually vegan options at cupcake shops are pretty boring and limited, but not here! the owner’s husband was there when I went in and he was super helpful. apparently the owner takes custom orders regularly and will work with customers to create unique items! he gave me a business card to contact her for that in the future. outstanding service and great, reasonably priced vegan cupcakes! would give 5 stars if I could

The cupcakes were so lovely and were wonderful. The owner was very enthusiastic and they are eager to take orders that involve catering to allergies and dietary restrictions. They also had chocolates that looked good. I am going to post a photo of my cupcake after I had carried it around in a box for a couple of hours. It still looked enticing but looked even better fresh.

The (I assume) owner has so much passion about her craft that it is almost intoxicating. I could listen to her talk about chocolate for hours. This place is an instant favorite!

How Sweet Masterpiece has garnered only a single review is beyond me. While not everything here is vegan, the selection of vegan chocolates and other desserts is amazing. And to top it off, the owner will make virtually anything that isn't vegan vegan for you with a special order. But no need for special orders to have a great selection of vegan cookies, cupcakes, bars, etc. made with delicious dark chocolate (they also make some things with milk chocolate - as I said this is not entirely vegan). And the location and hours are great. Get out of Portland proper and explore Oregon City. See the many interesting historic sites, shops and good restaurants with vegan options and then top dinner off with a vegan dessert from Sweet Masterpiece. No doubt that I will be back.

Vegan and Gluten Free Blueberry Coffee Cake - Yes, Please! - Edit
I almost walked past Sweet Masterpiece, thinking there would be no vegan options, but I decided to pop in and check. I was thrilled to learn that not only did they have a vegan option - it was also gluten free! The owner gave me a sample of the blueberry coffee cake, and I was hooked! I bought a piece of coffee cake and enjoyed it's deliciousness in the small seating area, while chatting with the friendly and welcoming owners. I'll definitely be back to try the vegan chocolates, and I hope they continue add to the vegan offerings!
