Tacos!!! Yes Please - Edit
Quick stop before a flight. Good salsa - red has some kick! I did the 3 taco platte - Birriah, Pastor , and Carne equivalents. Good stuff. Keep up the good work.

Really Impressed! - Edit
I love how they have 4 different veg “meat” choices and that you can mix and match in any dish as well as get half and half if you want. The food was fresh and flavorful. I tried the tacos, mulitas, the AZ burrito, and horchata. The al pastor was my favorite!!! I’ll be back for more!

Average - Edit
While there were some good ingredients, the overall taste and value was “meh”. Needs more flavor and less raw white onion.
Read moreLove how the location stayed vegan, but I’d rather go down the street to a “vegan options” location - Tocaya.
I hate to judge harshly from one visit, so I’ll try again at some point and update the review if necessary
Pros: Avocado crema, Options

Truck Was Amazing, But Something's Changed - Edit
We went to the truck for years, and when we moved we would make the long trek across town to eat there. Food was mind blowing. Then right before they moved to the permanent location the food became pretty bland. We kept going, thinking that the move was the cause and they'd get back in their groove, but months after the store was opened and it didn't return to form we finally stopped going. Something happened, they changed the recipes, made some substitutions. Now it's just not tasty, and not worth the money, which we were happy to pay before. Sad, because we recommended to everyone before and we were really excited for their permanent location.

Mids at best - Edit
Vegan junk food. Had sope crust was rock hard and was uneventful from there . We also had the vegano fries the “cheese” sauce was mild of the road , the guacamole didn’t appear to have any real avocado in it and there where no fresh tomatoes or lettuce on them. No veggie in the whole place . Taco Bell

Incredible Mexican Cuisine Alternative - Edit
When I used to eat meat, carne asada tacos were my absolute favorite, and I was never able to find an alternative that really tasted like asada, until I found Tacos Veganos.

Meh - Edit
My girl had been rocking with Jose when he was making tamales, tacos etc from the food truck. Food was amazing. A year ago I went to TV and fell in love. I went back everytime I visited AZ. I would say a bit before the brick and mortar restaurant opened, the food has went down hill and hasn’t been back since. I can’t go back anymore. Just disappointing. The food needs to be SEASONED! It’s a bunch of bland ingredients out together and that’s just sad given what they used to be.

This has been our exact experience, so glad to find someone else has had it. We used to eat there once every other week as a treat, but we haven't been back in months. They definitely changed something in their recipes and it's now extremely mid to bad.

Quite Good - Edit
I’m a bit spoiled when it comes to vegan tacos, so with that I’ll preface the review. The tacos were definitely decent, but I wasn’t blown away. The al pastor was better than the asada, both of which were enjoyable. It was the rice and beans that turned me off based on the lack of taste and color of the beans. After finishing I was still hungry after spending $16 on a taco plate. So, I ended up trying one of the queso tacos with jackfruit (add another $5). That was actually impressive in flavor and uniqueness. But, the fact that I had to spend $21 on “street food” was a little disappointing. I’d recommend coming in during their lunch special when you get a platter and drink for a more agreeable price.

Fantastic food! - Edit
I ordered the "Carne asada" nachos and my boyfriend ordered a Pollo, Carne Asada, and a jackfruit taco. All plant based obviously as the entire menu is vegan. Everything was fantastic! I loved that I was able to enjoy a loaded nachos plate because I haven't found many places where the nachos were THIS GOOD. We would definitely go back!

Amazing! - Edit
I have been waiting for an opportunity to try out the new spot and we (vegan & omni) we’re super happy we stopped by. We had 2 cheese street tacos with asada, 2 street tacos with birria and 1 sope with pollo. We were torn between the asada and the birria but truly the pollo was great as well. Everything was cooked fresh and was out quickly. The tortillas were perfect.

Authentic! - Edit
Despite the funky attitudes of the frontline chicks, I cannot make the food rating suffer. Food was fire! Authentic Mexican street food that makes you happy to live in the SW.
Read moreThe best torta and vegan carne asada I've ever had comes from Ranchos Cocina in San Diego. Tacos Veganos is now second. Delicious asada, al pastor, y pollo. Torta and tacos were all delicious. Their horchata is best in country. Ingredients in all the aforementioned were fresh and top tier.
The only things I didn't like were the rice and beans. Rice was overcooked, and rice and beans both lacked flavor. I don't know how the vegan proteins were bursting with flavor but the rice and beans were bland. Did I get a bad batch? Disappointing. Earth Plant Based has the BEST rice and beans. Maybe they can confer with them for tips.
I tried to go back for sope and nachos but they had sold out early. I will definitely be back though.
