Very tasty, but really long waiting - Edit
I had a really really nice meal here and would recommend taking the Okinawa Soba, because they were very good. However I had to wait half an hour in front of the restaurant until there was a free table and when I was inside it took almost an hour until I got my food, because there is only one person operating in the kitchen and taking the receipts… that’s a little sad, but if you have time, I would definitely recommend coming here.

Best vegan spot in Naha - Edit
Taste is of course always subjective, but for me, what the owner cooked all by himself in his small kitchen was so perfect, so well crafted and so special that I would get on a plane again just to eat here once more. We came here twice and had no trouble getting a table. I imagine that the later you come and the larger your group is, the harder it might get. Still, I would absolutely recommend it. From the outside and inside, the restaurant looks quite modest, but here you can try Okinawan cuisine in a vegan version.
Read moreThe laksa that everyone recommends now goes by a slightly different name, but it was a very warming and delicious curry. I liked the Okinawa soba even more. The broth is perfect — I wish I knew how to make it. The noodles are a bit thicker and firmer. The tofu is fantastic. Another highlight is the bitter melon dish (Goya Champuru). The bitter melon is indeed slightly bitter, but the flavors are balanced so well that it harmonizes perfectly with the sauce. Again, the tofu was outstanding. I can also highly recommend the seaweed tempura, as well as the sea grapes. If I lived in Naha, I would probably come here once a week. Prices are more than fair.
Pros: everything

Vegan Buddhist ikazaya style food - Edit
Loved to try some Okinawan food as vegan Versions. We had their dumplings and tried the Okinawa soba. Both nice, even though the broth was a bit salty for my taste. Still, a really nice place to try! Be aware that it is a small Shop, so it can get crowded in the evenings, you might have to wait a bit, especially if you are a larger group.

Lovely local food - Edit
I loved trying vegan versions of local Okinawan dishes here. I tried the 'sea grapes' and the 'Goya Champuru'. Both were very good.

Very Plain dishes, disappointing - Edit
Came here because of the good reviews but was disappointed. Seaweed tempura 6/10, lacks flavour/ umami, slightly greasy, salt and lemon provided at the side adds little depth. Laksa 6/10, supposedly Malaysian laksa but is neither Assam laksa or Singapore style laksa, can't taste any coconut or herbs/spices lemongrass, kaffir lime. It's too salty for my taste, supposed to be slightly salty and sweet broth. Only one person was making all the food and servicing so food might come slow when it's packed. Giving 4/5 stars because it's fully vegan if not 3/5 stars. Food might be different for my winter season visit so maybe it's better other seasons.

Best meal of my life - Edit
Almost 3 years later, I still think about this place all the time. The owner is so sweet and kind. Food takes a bit to prepare since he runs the business himself. But every dish was fine dining quality, insanely tasty, and with impeccable presentation. The owner was friendly and kind and even played/sang us a few songs. My non-vegan friends came here with me twice because of how delicious it was. This restaurant was my favorite part of my visit to Japan, and I look back on the time I had there so fondly.

Incredible - Edit
This place was the highlight of our Okinawa food journey. We arrived late but they served us quickly. The portions are on the small side but the flavours are so good that you will want to try lots of things. We got to try a lot of local dishes here. Seaweed salad, peanut tofu and tofuyo (It’s like a cheesy miso) are must try’s. My sake was served in a beautiful Riedel wineglass which was a nice surprise! We tried to visit the next night but there was a line and they were closing at 9pm which seems to be the standard closing time now.

Everything we ordered was delightful, especially the algae and the Green Curry noodles, the tempura tofu is also to fall for, you cannot order badly here. Dessert was also great and to top it all, the staff is great and happy 😁

the best laksa I had ! - Edit
Laksa curry makes this place worth visiting! The starters are nice, the service is also very friendly (only two guys running restaurant - wow! respect). the portions are quite small, however the prices are also low so it is kind of compensating. however it would be nice to add option of regular and large main dish for instance.
