Flavorful

Tried The Cafe Hot this weekend while cat-sitting for my daughter in Burlington. Convenient spot near Church Street, fun retro vibe inside. I ordered the veganized Basterd Bing. (No egg, added avocado) Lots of flavor and a nice crunch in the middle. Solid vegan/veg options. 😊

Pros: Downtown location, Flavorful, Fun atmosphere

Cons: Pricey

For diner lovers

Great vegan options, both savory and sweet, to fill you up before a big day or after a night out. The Raven is our favorite.

All-vegetarian with great vegan options

They dub themselves as having a "no kill" menu (no meat), so aside from the obvious issue that the dairy/egg industry is far from no-kill, this place is fantastic.

The Basterd Bing (veganized, sub avocado for egg) and The Raven (vegan avo tostada). So good! Easy to order vegan here and love the energy of the staff.

Also love that oat milk is available at the coffee station. And the oat latte was top notch. And then there's the donuts, wow! Scrumptious vegan "krispy cream"-style glazed donut and a rotating flavor or two of other vegan donuts including espresso glaze. When we went there was also a choco-lime glaze.

Here's the current online description of the Bing: "our very own, very precious, basterdization of the famous jianbing. a flour tortilla with egg (sub avo), garlic chili oil, hoisin, secret sauce, sesame/orc dust, red cabbage, pickled onion, fresh 'erbs and the famous jianbing chip.

And the description of the Raven "our avocado toast-ada is a toasted All Souls corn tortilla with black-cat-Raven sauce, hass avocado, house vegan white sauce, and a garden of herbs. vegan and gluten free. make it a double if you're looking for a meal" Add Impossible sausage for $3.

Pros: all vegetarian, DONUTS!, filling and tasty vegan options

Cons: so.much.egg.
