Western food and a wonderful location,

This is right on the beach which makes a great place to sit and eat; especially when there are so many seafood places along that strip, it is so nice to have a restaurant which is totally vegan! Food was super, I will definitely go back gain before I leave Hoi An

Pros: Metal straws (no plastic) , Western food, On the beach

This place is awesome

A lot of vegan options. The food, interior and location is awesome. Big portions as well. I had the burger and a peanut butter smoothie, my boyfriend had a wrap.

Pros: Delicious food, Nice location, Cute place

Cons: More expensive than ‘local’ food, but 100% worth

great venue!

the location is absolutely amazing. its right at the beach. it's an open venue with lots of seats leading to the beach and lots of chairs at the beach.
I had the chickpea curry, it was delicious, but it was sweet, which was a bit weird. I expected it to be spicy like curries usually are, so the sweet taste was quite surprising....
unfortunately the staff is quite unattentive. they didn't bring the menu, so I got it myself. they also didn't come to take my order...the waitress was on her phone all the time, so I had to go to her to order my food. unfortunately I was not the knly one experiencing this, a guy who came after me had the same issue. I came the next day (I thought the waitress had a bad/lazy day, which happens sometimes) and it was the same. it took quite a while till I could order (the waitress didn't come to my table to take the order, but cleaned another table and I called her)

Wow so good!

Can’t believe a vegan restaurant was in between all the seafood restaurants on the water. Although not many traditional Vietnamese food, it was still very delicious. I ordered a hot chocolate (cold day), fresh spring rolls (first place that had peanut sauce with them!!) and Korean bibimbap (marinated tofu instead of meat). Sooo good!!

Bit pricey

You can park your bike here (instead of paying 20k to park) and get a subbed if you buy something here. I had a tropical smoothie (65k) one day, was ok, wouldn’t purchase again. Second time I had their oat pancakes (80k) that come with banana strawberry and a sweetener (like a maple syrup) quite nice and filling. I didn’t stay for lunch as it was so windy my parasol snapped and very nearly smacked me in the face (I moved fast). I didn’t really feel the concern for my well being so didn’t want to spend more money there. I was probably very unlucky.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Nice setting

Cons: Pricey , Service is only ok

Best vegan beachside restaurant

Loved the reason these guys started the business and the meaning behind the name. Otherwise plenty of options and different flavors, all very tasty. Must visit for all vegans that come to Hoi An.

Amazing, delicious food!

This restaurant by the sea is one of our best discoveries when visiting Vietnam. The food is delicious, juices and smoothies just as well. You can sit by the sea and have a great vegan lunch. Our favourite was Braised tofu and mushroom in claypot. A 10, definately:) We will come back again!

Pros: Food, juices, smoothies, view

Excellent breakfast

Went there to relax after marble mountains and I accomplished my mission. The place is very nice and comfy just in front of the sea, so you have a nice view. I had the avocado roasts and they were reeeally good! The coffee was good too.

Pros: Nice presentation, Great place, Good flavor

Will definitely be back!

Great beach spot with lots of seating options and very extensive/creative menu. Lots of drink options (cocktails/beer/mocktails) as well as coffee, smoothies and juice!

I had a very hard time choosing what to get because I wanted to try everything! I ended up choosing the Buddha Bowl (rice, black beans, chickpeas, mushrooms, raw veggie mix & some sort of savory sauce— all very tasty!) and an iced Vietnamese coffee.

I loved it so much I came back the next day and had the Special of the Fisherman Starter— which was more than enough food for me!

Pros: Large menu, nice beach atmosphere

Best beach cafe ever

I am so happy to share that we just found our favorite beach place ever.
Fresh juices, coconuts, paper straws, vegan food with brown rice - this place is ethical, vegan and located on the beach. Best combination of everything I love.

Lovely little beach chill spot

We didn't eat here but stopped for drinks. The setting is lovely with nice, comfy places to sit and we nursed a coffee and coconut water and read for a few hours without staff being pushy at all. Menu has a range of things from avocado toast to Vietnamese food to mexican wraps. Definitely had vietnamese coffee on the menu tho which obvs isn't vegan.

The only vegan option on An Bang Beach

Because this is the only vegan option on An Bang Beach we may return as are always keen to support vegan restaurants.

But our experience wasn’t great to be honest. We will start with the positives, friendly staff, comfy seating (including sun beds on the beach) and tasty smoothies and vegan coffee.

However the tofu mushroom hotpot we ordered had zero flavour at all so we sent it back. French fries with homemade vegan mayo was good.

What was a real shame was staff allowing customers to eat their own (non vegan) food on the premises. This for us makes this place not vegan...

As always with An Bang beach there are lots of sellers but being offered eggs a number of times in a vegan restaurant was also a little strange.

Both of these things may be hard to manage but if they want to promote themselves as a vegan restaurant then don’t let non vegan food be consumed or sold on the premises. Simple.

Good Western food

Good food! Only little expensive for Asia. Portion sizes not that big. But nice if you go there for a lunch or snack or drink at the beach!

Good to go

Unfortunately, we had lousy weather throughout our stay in Hoi An, and so we only went once to the beach. Therefore, we just tried the Fisherman as it was the only vegan restaurant on Happy Cow. It’s a cozy place, and we could imagine that the vibe is good with sunshine :). The menu has much to offer, and everything is vegan. We choose both smoothie bowls and the buddha bowl. We wanted to go for the avocado toast, but it was available because avocado wasn’t seasonal at the moment. As others already mentioned, the food isn’t as tasty as it could be, but it still was decent and the portions are large. We liked the smoothie bowl without mango (forgot the name) more because of the creamy taste. Although the taste could be improved a little bit, it’s still worth visit this place as it’s directly at the beach and seems to be the only place that serves 100% vegan food ;).

Pros: 100% vegan menu, Good variety, Location

The food was just OK, looks a lot better than it tastes.

Nice location, stale white bread on burger, small portions

My partner and I had veggie burgers. The burger was small with lettuce, tomato and a very dry pattie. The bread was stale, and the food was tasteless. I visited in August 2019 at 5.00pm. The chips were overcooked. Fortunately, this place is in a wonderful location. But the staff looked uninterested. The food was disappointing. The food did come out quickly. More care is needed, it is lacks love!!!! Better tastier food options are required. I did not feel it was good value for money. More improvements are needed. I want this business to succeed.

Pros: Good location, Menu easy to read, Quick service

Cons: Poor quality food ingredients, and poorly cooked, Small portions and not value for money, More creative and healthier food options

- It is ok for a snack at the beach, but there are better options in Hoi An

Ok food but quite bland

Went on the first day we arrived, great to have lots of choice and portions were quite big. Had the Mexican wrap and it was nice but nothing special. Partner had the sandwich and it was huge but not enough real flavouring. It’s also ridiculously hard to find as it’s not signposted from the beach; look out for the blue painted stairs and the double sun beds

Pros: All vegan, Fresh smoothies were lovely

Cons: So hard to find, Quite bland

There is an issue!

As our homestay was nearby, we went there many times and I think there are some issues going on:

It obviously depends on who is cooking, but the differences are quite noticeable. Curry with potatoe and garlic or without, meal seasoned or rather not, instead tahini-sauce a mixture of ketchup and mayo and overall with water thinned dips. So in my opinion, you could get a good meal there (therefore 4 stars) but you could also be very disappointed!

My advice: rather don't try the burger, the sweet-potato fries, the falafel and the mexican wrap. Other dishes aren't that disappointing.
