Food was fine...but I have a complaint - Edit
This is a relaxed eatery with pleasant surroundings. Their vegan offerings evidently have shrunk recently, but they do have a few vegan items. I had their vegan breakfast bowl, which was delicious and healthy.
Read moreDo beware, however, that vegan items are nonetheless secondary for them. For instance, they initially brought me bread with butter, but when I reminded them that I asked for a vegan bowl specifically, they gladly exchanged it.
More troubling: their menu said for the breakfast bowl you could "make it vegan with plant based eggs"--but they did *not* mention a surcharge for this replacement. At a completely different part of the menu, they mentioned a $5 surcharge for "adding" crispy tofu (which is what it turned out they replaced the eggs with). I was surprised to see that they added $5 extra to my bill. I pointed out to them that the tofu was *not* added to my dish--it was a replacement. At the very least, they should have clarified their charges on the menu. I didn't want to harass the wait staff, who just did what they were told, so I paid the extra fee--but the upshot is that I took off a star from my rating for their deceptive menu.

I went in hoping to get a vegan chicken sandwich with no luck. There are still many vegan options however, from burgers to Mexican rice bowls to tofu nuggets to chili. I had the latter two and they were bomb!

Delicious vegan burger - Edit
The vegan burger was delicious! Its made with impossible meat and the bread was very yummy too. They have other vegan options like bowls and wraps.

The Grey Dog - Edit
The tofu breakfast bowl was delicious. I honestly wasn’t expecting much here, but they did a really good job with the tofu. The rest of the bowl was filled with veggies and hummus, which was nice and healthy. Sadly, they were out of the vegan eggs, so I’d definitely give those a shot next time. This is a great place to dine with people with various dietary preferences.

Great vegan breakfast burrito - Edit
I ordered takeout online. The menu has vegan options clearly marked which is great. I ordered the breakfast burrito (they have an all day breakfast) and it is really good. (Picture just shows half the burrito because I was hungry! 😁)
