Vegan pizza

I was with a group, else I wouldn’t select a pub. They usually not known for good vegan, which is fair enough. They do a good steak and 3 veg. Anyhow I ordered the Vegan Pizza. WORST EVER meal I had to pay for!!! The dough was supermarket bought and not cooked through (still doughy in the middle) the veggies were just chucked RAW on top of the dough!!! Being the pizza was undercooked so was the veg. RAW onions and RAW pumpkin. If you can’t be bothered prepping the food, perhaps don’t serve „VEGAN“. Awful, just awful.

3 vegan options

Good to see three choices. A gnocchi, a pizza and a salad. I had the gnocchi and my partner had the pizza. Both good but not great.

Great feast

Had a choice of reasonable amount.
Went for dips with pumpkin bread, wedges and a brilliant pizza.
Have been to a few other eating options around the Bendigo area and this is definitely the best.

Pros: Atmospheric outdoor dining, Reasonable vegan options, Generous serving potions

Cons: None except for carnivores around

Not very good food

I think there was 3 options, and I went for the pizza. It wasn’t good. You can tell when the chef understands vegan food, and this was just a rock hard pizza base with some veg and a sprinkle of vegan cheese. No live put into it at all.

Also weirdly enough, it didn’t come cut, which is awkward to do when dining in a large group elbow to elbow.
The base was too hard to eat anyway.

Their chips were very good, thankfully!

Pros: A few options

Cons: Not tasty , Noisy

Nice place, friendly staff

The rifle is good for a drink but the food is super average, particularly the vegan/vego options. It’s like the chef has just tacked on a couple of meatless recipes he found on google without actually tasting them then put an over inflated price cos vegan 🙄

Great service

Nice when the fire is going. Great service. Nice pub on the corner. Vegan dishes clearly labelled. Food average tasting. Tastes like the person who makes the dishes isn't vegan. Hot chips are crispy and good.
