Top-Tier Ramen in Japan – Pricey but Worth It - Edit
We had read that there's usually a wait at this place, but we got lucky around 4 PM—no line at all and we were seated right away.
Read moreWe tried two different ramen dishes: the Soy Milk Ramen “Hana” and the Soy Milk DanDan Noodle “Tsuki Hana,” along with two croquettes and steamed gyozas. For dessert, we had crème brûlée and matcha ice cream. Everything was absolutely delicious—hands down the best ramen I've ever had. They also have a variety of seasonings on the table to experiment with; the Japanese black pepper was especially nice!
There's free Wi-Fi, and you can order through their website by scanning a QR code at the table. At the end, you just take your table card to the cashier to pay.
We spent 7300 JPY for two people, which is on the pricey side, but I’d say it was worth it.
Pros: Amazing ramen – best I’ve ever had, No wait at 4 PM, Friendly staff
Cons: A bit pricey

Mediocre ramen soy noodles were unavailable which was disappointing. Fried gyozas were good. Expensive for plain noodles.

Overrated and overprice - Edit
This place is famous so you'll have to wait A LOT if you don't have a reservation. I waited for about an hour. I thought the ramen lacked some flavour but the noodles were nice. Plus it was quite pricey for a ramen bowl. I don't think it's worth the hype. They also have vegan desserts and if you fill out their survey you get a free chocolate pudding but unfortunately it was not tasty at all.

Tasty food and nice location - but a bit pricy... - Edit
The staff was really friendly and the food was great!
Read moreBut the prices are a bit high in my opinion (e. g. 2 100 ¥ for one bowl of ramen).
And it can be a bit cold on a rainy day...
Pros: nice food, many tasty options

Absolutely delicious and overflowing flavour - Edit
Fresh, fast, super interesting flavours and ingredients.
Read moreFor vegan ramen it may seem a little pricey but the abundance of ingredients and balance of flavours makes it worth it.
We tried the Hanna, Dan Dan, fried Gyoza. We did add ons and got the creme brûlée.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars is there was some nut some where in the dishes and I hived up. There was too much of a language barrier to understand each other. But not their fault I do not know Japanese and they were super busy, they just need clearer labelling.
Pros: Packed ingredients , Interesting , Tasty
Cons: Labelling was unclear

Good ramen, but overpriced - Edit
The tsuki hana ramen were tasty, but I did think that the price is quite steep (2100 JPY) and not entirely worth it. It comes with rice noodles, I think, which I didn't love. Just one restroom in the restaurant, had to queue for ages.

Veggie loaded Ramen - Edit
I was a tad apprehensive about soy milk ramen as I usually don't like the taste of soy milk in beverages but this one was just excellent. We had the Dan Dan and it is not to be missed. The Soy croquettes were a revelation, melt in the mouth yummy! The ramen was topped with 15 types of veggies and gyoza.

There is a cool vegan cake(frozen) vending machine outside the store!
The staff was friendly and prompt

delicious food, a bit pricey - Edit
we didn’t have the ramen! we had a rice dish and the gyoza as a light lunch and both were great. seasonal sakura float was also delightful. a bit pricey for what we had, they also ask that each person orders 1 food and 1 drink item. around 3000 yen per person.

Most boring vegan ramen we had in Japan - Edit
We tried a dozen of vegan ramen in Japan and this was the most boring (and most expensive). Gyoza were nice, but creme brulee also extremely mediocre. Also staff brought the Appetizers and drinks after the main dishes.

Overpriced, average ramen - Edit
I can honestly say I’m not sure what all the fuss is about with this place, as the ramen just didn’t have much flavour at all. All in all cost 4,200 yen for a beer, ramen and side which was too much in my opinion.
Read moreDefinitely recommend the soy croquettes which were delicious.
Cons: Price

Best ramen I've ever had - Edit
This place exceeded all my expectations. I usually don't like ordering ramen because it's usually too salty and rich for my preferences, but their soy milk has made me love their take on ramen.
Read moreThe broth was full of flavor without being sickly heavy. Getting to eat the ramen with so many topping combos was also fantastic, I love the gyoza and purple potato chips in mine. I love that they have creme brulee for dessert as well as it's one of my favorite desserts growing up and I get to eat it vegan!
Next time I'm back in Japan, I'm coming back here immediately!

Definitely a must-go in Kyoto. Ordered the tantan ramen with seared brown rice and soy cheese for the leftover soup and it was phenomenal. I only wish I had room for seconds!

Tasty ramen - Edit
Stumbled on this restaurant by mistake as it was opposite our hotel. Vegan and gluten free ramen restaurant with broth made from soy milk. The ramen has quite a unique taste but is tasty and full of veg. There is also a vending machine outside with vegan and gluten free desserts

Pretty good - Edit
The ramen is good, but they focus on "health" so don't expect a "fat" or "spicy" ramen. I would have really enjoyed some kind of chili oil directly on top of the ramen to give more depth to the flavour of the dish.

Stunning - Edit
We dropped in to check it out yesterday and made a bee line to it today. There was a need to double check just how good it was :). Stunning noodles. Flavour packed broth, grilled mochi, tofu slice, and fresh shoots and pickle. I also tried the soy noodles and they were perfect. The chilli oil is also a good addition, not too hot, but beautiful flavour. #Veganuary

The best ramen in the world - Edit
I came here because I saw this place voted as one of the top ramen dishes in the world on Happy Cow. It did not disappoint. I came here twice. The first time I got the Hana ramen because I was worried about the spice. The next time I got the dandan and it was unreal. It actually wasn’t that spicy. I added some additional spices to it and I wouldn’t say that I have a high spice tolerance. They also have cakes in a can from the vending machine!! It’s a great place for solo diners as well.

Sooo yummy!!! - Edit
Loved everything here! To start we had the Soy pulp creamy croquettes which tasted like buttery mashed potatoes. It wasn’t heavily fried and had a nice, thin but crispy coating. Next, we had the steamed gyoza stuffed with citrusy veggies and cabbage. The dipping sauce was also soy-citrus flavored. If no one was around, I would have slurped it up! Next, we had the steamed soy meat dumplings (we were hungry). These were also delicious and came with the same yummy dipping sauce. Finally, we both had the soy milk dandan noodle ramen. My word, this was the most flavorful ramen with lots and lots of veggie toppings, gyoza, tofu, etc. For those who are afraid of heat, it was not too spicy and wished I had asked for extra chili oil (I like a little heat) Overall, everything was so dang good!!! My non-vegan husband loved it. Service was great. Would highly recommend!!! 😋 #Veganuary

A Truly Amazing Restaurant - Edit
They made one of the best—and most filling—meals I’ve ever had! I had some dumplings, a creamy ramen dish, a rice and vegan cheese dish, and a crème brûlée (all vegan!!), and I was quite impressed by the depth of flavor in all the food, but especially the ramen. The rice and vegan cheese dish had a really unique smoky flavor to it also. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in all of Japan—if you are vegan and/or unable to eat gluten, or even if neither of those apply to you, you should totally check this restaurant out!!

A new favourite of mine - Edit
Absolutely adored the food here. The ramen was flavourful, creamy and tasty. We had the croquettes as a side which complimented the meal nicely. On the table, there is a box with sansho, shichimi, cumin, curry powder and sesame seeds for you to adjust the flavour to your own wishes. The inside decorations are lovely and the staff are extremely friendly. Will be coming back when next in Kyoto.
