Looked good - Edit
It was very busy at 6pm, just got a cookie to go and they were great (type is hard, dry, sugar cookie like!) I would go back just for the cookie

Vegan-y and creamy goodness! - Edit
We came along just before 5pm on a Friday and walked straight in! I appreciated the smaller menu because it narrowed down the options for me. I've never really had ramen before because it's so difficult to find veggie friendly ones - but my partner, who eats meat, loved it...and so did I! The hit of vegetables was very welcome 🙏
Read morePros: Mobile ordering from your seat, Delicious options of sides, Good selection of soft drinks and alcohol

Not to our taste - Edit
There was a long queue, and the food was very expensive and not really that delicious. I don’t find milk broth ramen that flavourful. Might be personal opinion.

Overall Good - Edit
They have a wide selection of vegan items. The ramen was ok. I prefer more flavor, spicer, and hotter temperature. There are powdered spices on the table that help it marginally.

Not worth it - Edit
In my opinion, the ramen was really lacking flavors. Even by adding some of the spices available on the table it wasn't great. The prices are really expensive, and as the restaurant is small we had to wait more than half an hour to get in.

Lovely- a must visit - Edit
I went this evening and it was so refreshing to meet so many like-minded, friendly vegans. The food was delicious, I really enjoyed the ramen, chocolate crème brûlée and rose plum wine. The absolute winner though is the cake vending machine 😍 while there was a bit of a queue it moved quickly (I waited no more than 25 minutes and got to speak to some lovely people during that time)

Good but not great - Edit
The soy milk ramen is good but there is definitely better. The dumplings are ok.
Read moreThe shop is really small and you probably will have to wait a while to get seated.
But not that many other options in Gion!

Tasty 🍜 - Edit
The location of the venue and limited seating mean long queues and wait time. We waited for at least an hour and I was pretty hungry by the time we got to our table.
Read moreMy hunger might have sharpened my appetite, as I’m not usually a fan of ramen, yet I found it quite enjoyable here. The matcha ice cream was also very tasty.

Convenient location for all vegan food in Gion - Edit
I'm generally not a fan of soy milk ramen, but this place was a pretty good option in Gion, especially since there aren't a lot of options in the area for dinner around 6-8pm. We didn't have to wait too long to be seated and the food came out in a reasonable time. The spicy oil sauce didn't add a whole lot of flavor for ¥300, and the shumai dumplings were just OK.
Read moreWe enjoyed the noodles and soy milk broth, as well as the various toppings. The Sichuan pickles were good too! We had the Yuzu creme brulee for dessert and it was a nice finish to our hearty meal.
Would recommend Towzen for a more flavorful vegan soymilk ramen, but that restaurant is in a slightly more inconvenient location in Kyoto.
Pros: Good location, All vegan options
Cons: Bit pricey for what you get, "Spicy" chili oil is rather mild

One of the best vegan ramens in Kyoto - Edit
I absolutely love this place. Their soy milk ramen is one of the best vegan ramens I have ever hade. That is why I ate here 4 times during my stay in Kyoto. It tends to get really busy, especially during dinner time, so be ready to queue. It's definitely worth the wait, though.

Very tasty but pricy - Edit
The place gets crowded really easily so expect to be waiting. But at least they have some chairs & benches to wait on. The food was great and they had many good looking options. I had the ramen and my partner had two side dishes. The ramen is a really big portion size. But still the meal was quite expensive. I would still recommend going.

And outside of the restaurant is a vending machine where you can get the desserts from the restaurant.

Molto buono - Edit

Great ramen, beautifully presented - Edit
Great ramen and beautiful presentation.
Read moreEnjoyed the dumplings and the rice with cheese.
We went there twice once for lunch and once for dinner, as we loved the ramen.
I ate here end of March - early April 2024 when I visited Japan 🇯🇵 so I’m sorry I cannot find the photos to post, as the food was well presented.
At lunch time they opened half an hour later than displayed on the site at that time, but we were second in line, so got in quick.
At dinner time we waited for 1 hour and barely made it in before they announced that they are no longer allowing people in.
Pros: Great ramen and dumplings, Beautifully presented ramen
Cons: Slightly expensive , Can get pretty busy with 1 hour waiting time , Small place

Fabulous - Edit
The ramen here is delicious! The best I’ve had in Japan.
Read moreWe tried some of the sides and the dumplings were great but we’d recommend giving the brown rice with cheese a miss as the flavours were quite sickly. The creamy croquettes were also nice but nothing special.
Red and white wines were pretty good too!
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Not many seats so there was queuing outside

Great ramen but a long wait - Edit
Ramen was really good - would recommend the Hana, cheapest and comes with loads of great ingredients. Cheesy rice was ok, and the queue was probably excessive, but the food was good so can’t complain

Great vegan ramen - Edit
Great spot for lunch just outside the busy part of Gion District. Be sure to try their cold soy milk ramen, especially on a hot day. I ordered the large option for the noodles and this means that you will get a really big portion. They also have a vending machine right outside their restaurant full of vegan desserts.
