You can upsize the ramen if you’re super hungry and the portion size is very adequate. The fried gyoza was amazing - best I’ve had.

Overall, the food was incredibly good. The Ramen could use a little more protein, but overall the flavors are out of this world. I also got the gyoza that was incredible. And a cookie to go. I would highly recommend this but try and get there a little bit early because of can be a line sometimes. The food came out really fast. Be aware that you have to sign up on the waitlist if you get there and there’s no space.

Beautiful dishes, delicious food, vegan vending machines outside! They have counter seating and table seating. It’s so nice not having to worry about cross contamination when it comes to soup especially (stopped eating at meat restaurants after finding a piece of a chicken in my soup). Not to be missed!!

The food here is indeed crafted with care. This place makes their own soy milk and uses it for their ramen, desserts and the okara for croquettes. We had the soy milk ramen with croquettes as well as a chocolate cake. Everything was delicious. The noodles are gluten free but they were cooked Al dente and were delicious. The ramen came with toppings of gyoza, vegetables, sprouts and some sort of savory vegetable that was crunchy and tasted like it was marinated in soy sauce. Highly recommend this place! There is also a dessert vending machine outside that sells cakes.

Extremely delicious ramen! I loved the gluten free noodles, they made the ramen more like spaghetti ramen to me, which was a very much welcomed thing on my side. The broth and other ingredients were amazing. Loved it!!!

Best ramen in Kyoto - Edit
Amazing ramen spot right off the main road in the popular Gion area of Kyoto. The ramen was super creamy and tasty, it was the best ramen I had during my trip to Japan. The desserts we tried (matcha/sakura crème brûlée, matcha ice cream) were also really good but the ramen absolutely stole the show. A must try in Kyoto.

The shop is located under an Airbnb and at the same place as a laundromat, but they have a sign out about the restaurant. There might be some wait at busy times but it wasn't too bad when we went. They also have a vegan cake vending machine in front of the restaurant which serves frozen cakes and desserts, but the staff can warm it up for you if needed.
Read moreOnce seated you can order with a QR code, they have an English menu and everything is vegan and gluten free. They have a selection of ramen, sweets, gyozas and other bits and bobs. You can order for take out as well and they also have merch, a sweet selection box, chopstick holders etc. You can also add extra toppings to the ramen or ask for half portion or soy noodles.
The food was delicious and the basic ramen was not spicy at all, which was great as my husband doesn't like spicy food. On the table there are various spices with Japanese and English descriptions which can be added to the soup. We also tried some of the sweets which were really nice. The service was quick and everyone was friendly. We will be back tomorrow as we need to use the laundry and we can also have dinner while we wait. 😅

Bit of a strange location, we found it hard to find initially as it looked like a laundromat (located behind the restaurant). The restaurant is a small, ‘rougher’ version of their second fancy dining restaurant, but the food and service was far superior.

I got the "gekka" dandan spicy noodles and loved it. I loved all the surprising flavors and textures from the nuts, lotus root, goji berries, and soy meat to the dumplings and noodles. I added extra shichimi and the Japanese pepper from their spices on the table for a little more kick. I also ordered the okara and thought they were a tasty take on the potato ones, just wish it came with sauce, but they tasted great dipped in the ramen broth.

After struggling to find some consistent vegan options in Hakone and Nagoya we were so happy to dine here our first night in Kyoto. We went big! Shumai, Gyoza, ramen, matcha ice cream, and a delicious iced cocktail! We loved it- great flavors and even though there was a short wait, the staff was quick to seat us and were very friendly.
