Long wait for ramen without flavor - Edit
Wait time said half an hour but we waited an hour and a half. Not a big deal because we were excited about the food but when it arrived it was a little disappointing. We added a bunch of spices and got hot chili oil to add to the ramen but even after all of that it seemed very overpriced for what we got. Other people seemed to really like it though and said the wait time is less during lunchtime.

Delicious ramen with a nice presentation. - Edit
We both ordered the GEKKA. The broth was wonderful and the toppings that accompanied the dish added great textures and flavors.
Read moreA bit of a wait due to their limited capacity and popularity, but very worth the wait. They have an outside covered area where you’re able to place your name on the waiting list.
Very comforting on a rainy day in Kyoto.😄

Magnificent, but with a cost - Edit
The ramen is top notch. The soy milk adds an incredible flavor to it, the gyozas & dumplings were good, although they could be a bit saltier.
Read moreThe creme brulee was also great.
However, be prepared to wait; It took us an hour to enter and get a table and approximately 20 more minutes to get our food. Not bad, and the waiting time is worth it, however it could damage the experience.

Perfect food! - Edit
Easily overlooked little restaurant but insanely delicious food! Soy milk ramen, soy cheese / nuggets and sweet deserts. Though be prepared to wait a bit as it gets crowded easily. Make sure to add your name on the list in front on the entrance.

Read more- curry gyoza - great

I'm not sure if the description of this place is accurate as it using any garlic, onion etc at all. One dish definitely doesn't at least.

On a recent stay in Kyoto we had a helllluva time finding anything even vegetarian, let alone vegan. This place was sort of near our hotel, so we went to check it out. I’ll start by saying that the ramen was absolutely the best I’ve ever had. I am not even a “ramen person” but it was so good I insisted we go back again 3 days later. I got the DanDan Noodles…delightful.
The interior of the place was cute, they played good music, the staff were nice.
BUT——they are a bit disorganized..and by a bit, I mean a lot. The first night we went there, we signed up on a waiting list and sat outside until they called our name. The waiting list said “approx 15 min” but we were waiting for probably 30-40 min. When we finally got a table, we used their QR code order system and ordered drinks, appetizers, and ramen. Then we sat there for like 30 min, watching tables that came after us receiving their food. We also saw one couple who had been there looong before us, just politely sitting there while literally everyone but them got their food.
They brought soup to the table next to us, and the girl started taking photos of it and I’m not sure if she actually tasted it, but like 5 min later, the waitress, whom I’m at this point assuming is “the Yukiko” (owner) comes out and tells the girl she got the wrong soup. The girl seemed fine with it, but for some reason, the waitress insisted on taking it away, and bringing the girl whatever soup she had actually ordered. Her boyfriend was already half done eating his, and this bizarre transaction attracted everyone’s attention.
At this point we’ve been siting there for 30 min, no drinks, no appetizers, nothing. Then the waitress tries to serve us the soup she had just wrestled away from the other table. We said “no thanks, that’s been served to, touched, photographed and possibly tasted by that table for the past 7 min”. To make a really long story short(ish) this confused service continued the whole meal…they brought our appetizers out long after the main dishes, and we had to ask for our drinks, after finally getting our ramen.
The waiter seemed really surprised that we had an ordered drinks😵💫.
So..it was shenanigans over there..but the food was so good we went back 3 nights later. The service was still sorta messy, but much less absurd than the first time.

Overrated and disapointing - Edit
The ramen has no taste to me, it was the worst ramen I had in Japan so far. I am really disapointed. It‘s super expensive too. I wouldnt recommend going there. It smells like toilette in the dining room as well. I am sorry but I really did not enjoy it there at all.

Satisfying and surprisingly filling delicious ramen. We got the special no spices one and it was so yummy. The okara croquettes were also a nice treat. Strongly recommend ordering the rice to add to the leftover soup after finishing the veggies and noodles. 😋

Very tasty but a bit pricy - Edit
Tried the Hana Ramen which was honestly delicious! It was topped with many different things and I enjoyed the kombu seaweed and burdock root (?) in particular.
Read moreThe soup was creamy and full of flavour.
I did however find it a little bit pricy - like others have mentioned, it is likely due to the location but it is a price I probably couldn’t pay twice for ramen :((
I would recommend the place for the tasty food though! Further, they have vegan crème brûlée! I didn’t try it but it is sold in store or via the vending machine in front of the shop
Pros: Delicious food , Friendly staff (also speak English) , Clean and welcoming atmosphere
Cons: Pricy

We tried the tantan ramen and really enjoyed it. Pleasantly surprised by the gluten free noodles - they were actually good. The bowl was well topped compared to some other vegan ramen we've had. Prices were quite high, but still worth it.

Never had anything like it. Exceptional - Edit
This was easily among my favorite meals while visiting Japan.
Read moreExceptional ramen, but done in a way that I’ve never experienced before. The combination of flavors and textures was absolutely unique and truly exceptional. I don’t know how to further convey just how much I enjoyed this meal.

So much more than Ramen! - Edit
Absolutely delicious and spoilt for choice with this menu! We were actually planning to go somewhere different for lunch as we weren’t craving ramen but it was closed, so we tried our luck here and I’m so thankful that we did. I had no idea there would be so many options, so I felt like a kid in a candy store and ordered at least half the menu with my partner 😂
Read moreWe tried the second ramen option (can’t remember what it was called, but I believe had the additional of chilli oil) which was super yum! It’s not spicy for anyone who isn’t great with spice, so I added some additional spice that is offered on the table along with grinded sesame seeds and it was perfect - super creamy and nutty with a little kick. Then we had edamame which was warm and fresh - exactly what we felt like, the veggie steamed gyoza & dumplings (whilst both delicious and fresh, I found these two were very similar, so if you’re tossing up I’d just opt for one or maybe try the soy meat or curry option alongside), the creamy croquettes which were so delicious we ordered more!! Then the chicken nuggets which are definitely on the pricey side, but we’re so yummy I would recommend if not on a budget!
I was SO happy and content after our big lunch, it was all very much worth the price to me, but what made the experience even better was the service right at the end when we went to pay. I believe the chef is the owner and she was the most friendly, bubbly and thankful person - she loved hearing how much we enjoyed her food and her energy and love for what she does just made my day. You won’t regret going to support her and enjoying her delicious food that is very much made with love!
Pros: So many yum vegan & gluten free options! , Good cosy seating, easy to order , Friendly and genuine customer service from owner

Tasty lunch with lots of options - Edit
Our group of 5 really enjoyed our lunch here. The food is very tasty- the soy cream topping was a particular stand-out! Your order comes one at a time, so be careful to understand who ordered which style. It’s easy to have a mix-up. We did a little trading up and down the counter, but it all worked out.
