Deceiving, NOT a vegan restaurant anymore! - Edit
I gave this place a rather critical review before, as I think prices were always way above the quality and quantity of food. Came back today anyway for fast lunch before heading to a nearby meeting. They are now "Vegstop Plus", proudly announce "not only vegan" and their menu actually is mostly made of meat and seafood dishes, with a few vegan options. Had the loaded fries with vegan chicken anyway, as I was hungry and they were OK, especially with 30% lunch discount on weekdays. There's a strange gut feeling though and I am somehow doubting if the mayo and cheese on the fries truly were vegan. Will avoid by all means from now on.

No longer vegan, serves fish & meat - Edit
I had a (hopefully) not chicken pad Thai which was nice but on a following visit the confirmed they serve shrimp, chicken & other animal products. Though when I asked initially the owner said it’s all vegan. Sadly not the case, so ok for a quick meal but better to support fully vegan foods places!

Ideal location and food - Edit
Located in Old Town, Veg Stop is ideal if you're looking for central vegan food. I had the English Breakfast and the Falafel Wrap and enjoyed both, although I liked the wrap so much I went back for it another day.

I had the Beyond Smash burger and it was outstanding. The perfect blend of texture, flavour and creaminess. I had to check the menu to make sure it was vegan. It tuned me into smash burgers at home.
Read moreVeg Stop is in the shopping centre food court as noted in other reviews but it's not like food courts in England, there's a really nice vibe to the place,. You get a buzzer to let you know when to collect your food.

It was lunchtime and so I checked Happy Cow and found this establishment. They had a variety of options from burgers to chick’n and tofu Asian bowls. I had the tofu bowl and it was delicious! I also had the berry cake and that too was excellent.

Boisterous restaurant in a food court of shopping centre. I got a small portion of pasta. Looks like portion for kids. They also put a lot of pepper in it and it was not tasty. I also tried wrap and it was spicy. Definitely not go there again.

Best vegan burger in Riga - Edit
The vegan smash burger was amazing! Tried a few vegan burgers in Riga and this was the best one. Due to being located in a mall, the atmosphere is not the most peaceful. But luckily there is an opportunity to eat out at the terrace!
