Small vegan place - Edit
I stumbled across this one. It has lots of variety of foods and I trust the other reviews with the nice taste of the main dishes. I came here for dessert. Originally I wanted a sample platter with cookies , baklava and cake to go but they told me I can only buy the entire package of each. I ended up with baklava to go and really enjoyed it. I could pay with card which was nice too. I had a little terrace where people were sitting and it looked nice.

Convenience - Edit
I was hesitant to try it though it’s steps away from my house. It doesn’t look much from the outside and i’m not a fan of mock meats. But today i was hungry, no time to cook and wanted something fast and easy (instead of carefuly reading menus and interrogating waiters). I had a lentil soup, soy patty, zuchinni fritter and vegetable stews. It was healthy (not drenched in oil) filling and good value for money. I’ll def go again when similar circumistances hit
Read moreNote: i have been there 6 times now. Little variation in food. But even after going there 6-7 days in a row the woman there has yet to warm up to me or be nice. Actually the more i go the less friendly she becomes. I find that both puzzling and funny

Lots of food for 3-4 dollars - Edit
I was hesitant, because some reviews talked about the food not being good. But oh my, I got a plate with four different selections and a mineral water for a little over 3 US dollars. I couldn't believe it. And I really enjoyed the food. It's cafeteria kind of food, so if you like that, it's great. I liked the many options. I will go back and try different things next time as well.

the owner is a simple lady, with passion and love for what she does. Food is the vegan version of what you would like to eat if you are in Istanbul.

Cheap, okay food, friendly. - Edit
Objectively speaking the meals are often reheated, salty and somewhat oily and can be a little samey. The people saying this is the best vegan food in Istanbul ... I can't imagine where else you've been eating.
Read moreGetting that reality check out of the way - it's not bad, and sometimes it's actually quite tasty and it's pretty good value for money. The vegan baklava and the cookies are very good and are available takeaway in containers. The staff are polite and friendly and are happy to explain the menu options.
Pros: Generous portions for cost. , Desserts come in takeaway containers.
Cons: On the average it's only okay. , The TV is always on and never good.

No - Edit
The food is not only very oily, it is also very expensive for this kind of canteen. Everything is color brown. No fresh vegetables here ever. Did not taste good of course. Whenever I pass this place I get shivers. I'm sorry but it is what it is

Tasty food, big portions, nice people - Edit
It’s buffet style where you pick 3 or 4 items and they put them all on a plate. Very good food with a mom and pop kind of feel. Cheap too.

Cheap - Edit
Honestly, I was disappointed. Yeah, the food was cheap and you have many options to choose from but I found my dishes tasteless. Everything is prepared in advance so they need to put it to microwave before serving...

Anything we've tried here was delicious, and pretty cheap. They even sell a few vegan dairy products (good as well). Nice atmosphere, too.

Great choice - Edit
Went here for lunch. Basic interior and no menu at the moment but many prepared dishes to choose from, displayed in a cabinet. Something like TL35 for 4 selections or you could have 3. Delicious food and generous portions. Friendly owner who does the cooking and her brother helps there too. Fresh drinks available and a range of cake and baklava. Very satisfied, will go back

Lovely tasty lunch - Edit
We went from Sultanahmet to Vegan Istanbul for lunch and it was very worthy of the journey! We ordered one seitan kebab (plate) and one seitan kebab wrap. The kebab was well flavoured. We requested same sauce for the kebab to make it more juicy and were offered a light vegan yogurt, which was also tasty. The dessert, vegan baklava, was amazing. We paid 100 Turkish lira for the above dishes and a can of coke.
Read moreAs other people have mentioned, the food is already cooked and is microwaved for the customers. I would have liked at least the fries to be freshly made, and I would have appreciated a greater variety of accompanying salad for my kebab (it came with only tomatoes and a few fries). Had that been the case I would have given this place a five out of five.
I'll be back with pleasure on my next visit to Istanbul.
Pros: Fully vegan place , Healthy food, Comfy atmosphere
Cons: Microwaved food, Would have liked more diversified salad, Fries not freshly made

Abundant number of choices - Edit
I’ve eaten many times in this place and always found variety. Turkish zeytinyağlı cuisine here is good, sarmas, dolmas, barbunya beans etc. Rather junk food made of seitan, such as kofte balls, tastes dominantly spices. Baklava is well made.
