Good place but decrease in quality lately - Edit
They does not cook when you order. Food are prepared in the morning and served by heating when ordered. Taste were good but after covid the variaty looks like to decrease. We could not find many things in the pictures of this app for restaurant

We liked the food very much. They use the locanteria approach, whereby you can choose from 10-15 ready made dishes. For 5 different ones we paid only 35 lira. However the place maybe better to use for takeaway, as it isn't really cosy with only white flashy TL-light

This was the first place I've tried in Istanbul and the food was really good! They made a Turkish breakfast for us (which was really good) even if It wasn't on the menu and they were super kind, they even gave us some free cookies! There was some kind of fritter that was super delicious and in general It was a pretty good and tasty meal (of you try to avoid oil please keep in kind that Turkish food could be kind of oily, though). Normally you order at the counter and you can choose a mix of three things for your plate and I liked it, because you can try different things this way:) The vegan baklava are amazing!

Family Owned Restaurant - Edit
Absolutely love this place. I keep going back. It's very small, but amazing. The owners are lovely too. The prices are great and you can choose to order things order than what is presented but I do suggest at least trying the choices upfront! 100% worth every penny, will continue to visit.

Everything i tried was delicious, its a family run business and the food is home made style. The sitting area could use a little touch specially the lighting. The baklava was very good.

The best Turkish food I've ever had! - Edit
I'm part Turkish and I can honestly say I had some of the best Turkish food I have ever eaten! Each dish had so much flavour and there was so much to choose from. If you love authentic Turkish food you must go to Vegan Istanbul! The staff is very friendly and it is a family run business, which makes the whole experience ever better.

Around 10 different dishes, you pick 3 or 4 of them to make your plate. Very cheap and so good! Also have baklava and other “veganized “turkish pastries. I highly recommend this place

You won't find a better bargain vegan meal in this city. 10 to 12 premade Turkish dishes to choose from. A massive plate of food cost 25 lira. The lentils, greens, and deserts standout above the rest. The quality and taste are satisfactory. Dishes are made in bulk. Located in the artsy progressive neighborhood Cihangir.

Read moreDue to many recommendations I was eager to visit the place. Unfortunately I had no such opportunity due to covid restrictions. So I ordered a delivery. I was superfast, about 30 minutes. The food itself was total disappointment.
Lahmacun - smelled and tasted like overroasted bread, was dry and had no taste at all
Humus had the same problem as any Turkish humus - no seasoning at all.
Musakka left much to be desired, poor taste, have no idea how one can spoil a dish with and eggplant.
Spinach manti had no spinach. The had no stuffing al all. Still it was best dish in the set.
Never considered myself as sophisticated vegan gastronomist, but I love tasty dishes. Vegan Istanbul serves great portions of low-priced but totally flavourless food.
Can recommend it if you are hungry and want to save money. Otherwise walk this place past.

Very cheap place with a quite cheap food. I took much for a low price. A desserts (some chocolate cakes) made from a powder, taste like nothing. Not the worst option if you’re hungry. Very oily, quite salty, everything is fried.

I wanted to love this place like all the other reviewers, but on the day we went, we found the food just too oily. We couldn't finish our meals and it left us both not feeling too great afterwards. If they used less oil, I feel that it would be really good food because the flavors are all there. The restaurant itself is a bit dingy too -- probably better to get take-away meals instead.

The hummus was perfect to my liking, not salty and tiny chunks of chickpea for texture. Rice-filled cabbage and spinach were also tasty. I didn’t dine in because the place smelled smoky and the outdoor patio is very small.

What a special place. Everything is made with love and patience. I love the free choice and that you get to see the food beforehand. I think what makes it so special is the home-cooked vibe that it gives. We got a bit fed up with falafel, kebabs, sandwhiches, burgers in all the other places and wanted something that resembles more of a hot meal for a change.

Little family run restaurant with various options of all vegan food. You choose 4 options for 3 TL which include seitan doner, bulgar meatballs, soya burger, hummus, green beans, falafel and so much more. Extremely cheap and great value for money! Tasted amazing also. Would highly recommend to any vegans visiting Istanbul.
