I bought a pack of six to bring home to my family in the US. I bought them the day before I left, and the woman in the shop said they would last for three days. They managed to survive a rainstorm on the way to the airport and a full day of travelling. When I made it home the following day, they lasted only a few minutes. My family scarfed them up.

This is exactly the same as the traditional Pastel de Belem, I couldn't tell the difference, even a local recognised that it is very good and that he couldn't taste anything different from the non-vegan recipe.

Perfectly baked, authentic Portuguese pastries. You can buy them by the box! So, so good to have a nice pastel de nata after a walk in the centre of town. Lots of vegan places have their own version, but this shop specialises in it. Try all the versions, and compare it to this one!

Es ist so toll, dass es einen Laden gibt, der ausschließlich vegane pasteis de nata zubereitet und verkauft. Wie auch in anderen Läden üblich gibt es neben dem Gebäck auch lediglich Heißgetränke, aber was will man mehr. Super lecker!

I can’t believe I almost left Lisbon without going to this place! I went in the morning and had the pastries fresh out of the oven. They were AMAZING - perfectly flaky on the outside and soft & creamy on the inside. It was so lovely to find a vegan version of this traditional Portuguese dessert💓
