Build-a-Bowl - Edit
I've eaten a ton of custom bowls, all over the planet, five in San Diego this week. This, a non-chain place, merits a review. Nice, unadulterated vegetables, okay selection. Some confusion - for me, at least - what dressings were vegan. (Compare website with online ordering app.) I wasn't able to order online because the service which verifies address/identity would not accept my valid address. That's really a vendor problem, but a bummer.

A real life saver! - Edit
Located just outside the Gas Lamp District, I happened on this little place on my way to the donut shop (sold out, alas) and what a find! A “bowl” joint with mostly veg and vegan options including (drum roll…) STEAM veggies and some OIL FREE dressings! OMG - I almost cried. The food was fresh and tasty. You can takeaway or sit in one of the few sidewalk tables. A must visit for those looking for healthy veg/vegan fast food. I wish they had a shop in Manhattan.

Not special - Edit
We ordered different bowls. The taste was good, but the food could have been more.

So bland I thought I had covid - Edit
Just saw a nearly identical review from the same day, so maybe they were having an off day? Not a single thing in the bowl was seasoned. Everything tasted like samey mush. It was healthy and I ate it but it tasted like something people would use to make fun of vegans.

Edible, but bland - Edit
I ordered a bowl with quinoa, black beans, steamed vegetables, sauteed tofu and mixed nuts. Both the beans and vegetables were under cooked. They were way too crunchy for my taste. I had read on a previous review that the tofu was really good. Well, I tried it and it was meh. Texture was good, but it was as bland as tofu can be, no flavor at all. If you like raw stuff, I guess I'd recommend it, but, personally, I would not eat here again.

Guilt free deliciousness! - Edit
Nice sized portions, awesome vegan options. I ordered a bed of greens topped with quinoa, black beans, beets, sweet potatoes, broccoli, carrots, sauteed tofu and mixed nuts with avocado dressing. Delicious, and as another reviewer noted, awesome tofu that's sauteed fresh for each order! Cute and bright atmosphere complete with succulents on each table.

Get the Sautéed Tofu - Edit
The sautéed tofu is ridiculously good. (I’ve tried to replicate it at home, but no luck.) Loved the tofu, quinoa, and peanut sauce with all the veggies. It’s a nice, healthy find within walking distance of convention center. Oh- the unsweetened hibiscus tea is excellent!
