Cheap, spicy worth the visit

Everything is vegan. Staff is very nice, we paid 100THB for two bowls of rice and two add-ons of your choice. The stall is located on the perimeter of the inner courtyard (ground level), just below the food court in the 2nd floor, where you can bring the food and eat it there. You will receieve a plastic spoon too.

Pros: Very cheap, Spicy, Nice ans friendly staff

Cons: The meals are not very warm

The food is delicious here

Took me a while to find this place, but was so glad I did. It’s right next to the ramp going down to the food court. Just look for the yellow and red sign. When ordering, she just lifted the top of the pans for me to look inside and I just picked what I wanted. I paid 50 baht for my meal and ate it upstairs where they have tons of seating. She has mock meat that is super delicious and will offer you some to try. If you get takeaway, it’s what she has bagged already to go. It was a soup/curry and I got rice with it for 30-40 baht. The owner does not speak any English. So you might need to use your google translate with any questions you have.

Es ist vegetarisches Fleisch und Fisch, kein echtes Fleisch.

Great chicken

One of the best fake chickens I have ever tried. The lady has it frozen to. There is dried soya protein in many shapes and sizes!

Pros: Very cheap

Had breakfast here most days

For the price, the food here is such a good find. The woman who runs the stall does take away food but can put on plates to take to the near by food hall. To find her and the food hall, turn to you left if you enter the market from the Wichayanon Road or right from the Kuang Men Road and go to the end. Look out for the hanging yellow sign (see photo) for the stall. For the food hall, go to end the wall and you will stairs either side going down. There is also a stall in the food hall serving vegetarian noodles.

Pros: Cheap, A great range of foods

Good and cheap

I had a red curry and two fake meat variations with rice. All in all it was a massive portion, would have been enough for two, for only 100 Baht. Cheap and fast when you live near by.
You can bring your own containers to avoid the plastic.

Pros: Good taste, All vegan, Cheap

Cons: Plastic bags if you don‘t bring your own containe, Only too go

Tasteless food

I didn't like the food. I found it tasteless for Thai food, but also unattractive (no colourful veggies). Everything looked like it's been siting there for a long time so not very fresh! I found another vegetarian stall (not the same as shown on the picture) and the food wrapped in a banana leaf was the only thing I liked!

Cons: Not fresh, bland food, Not healthy food

How to Find

As others have said, this is a good place to take out, and you can eat at the adjacent food court. I think the easiest way to find it is to find the food court downstairs in Warorot. If you look out from the North end of the food court you will see rows of food stalls. The stall you're looking for is at the end of one of the rows (the end near the food court). Look for a big yellow sign overhead with red lettering (in Thai). I liked the mushrooms and the mock meat.

Pros: inexpensive, good food, can eat in the food court

Cons: take out only

Cheap and Cheerful

I found this stall thanks to the Happy Cow app.
We tried the following:
1. Vegetable Green Curry
2. Brown Rice
3. Rice Noodles with Sauce - 2 portions

Enjoyed the food a lot. It came up to 100 Baht for 2 of us.

Only takeaway, so we went to the food court a few steps down and ate there. She gave us spoons and disposable containers to eat in.

Pros: Friendly stall owner, Food tasted great

My go-to in Chiang Mai

Heaps of very well made vegan variation of local dishes.

Pros: Wide variety of dishes, The chap chye dish, Low cost

Cons: Only takeaway, but can find a seat at food court, Food may only be luke if you can later in the day?

Note: The spicy-red leaf-wrapped parcel is a vegan version of the Northern Thai speciality - aeb pla. Aeb pla is minced fish mixed with spice paste, wrapped in banana leaf and then grilled as a parcel...
