Great Sunday vibes - Edit
It's the type of place I love going to on a cold but sunny Sunday. They have tables outside too but it's nice and cosy inside. You just need to arrive when it's not too busy, otherwise you'll have to wait a bit. It's the type of place where you pick your own table, order at the counter and then go get your order yourself when it’s ready. Even if you're just passing by to buy a pastry, be prepared to queue a little during the weekend.
Read moreTheir pancakes are gluten-free and they were amazing... I would go back just for them, although the menu tends to vary depending on seasonality. Their smoothie bowl was really good too.
Pros: Nice atmosphere, Gluten-free pancakes, Open every day
Cons: Walk-in only

Great food and great vibe - Edit
The pastries are beautiful, the food tastes great and seems pretty wholesome. Lots of gluten free options. On the pricier side but that's London!

Good food, nice atmosphere - Edit
I had the brekkie bowl, a dirty chai, and an almond croissant. I really enjoyed everything! The bowl is super filling, the chai was comforting, and the croissant was fresh. Definitely will come back here!

Cozy brunch spot - Edit
Loved the comfy vibes and cool decor. They've got a nice outdoor spot too. They are located in a quiet area. I tried their avocado toast, which was okay, and also had the pancakes with berries and almond butter on top, these were delicious. They offer unique lattes, like chai with cordyceps, cacao with lions mane,.. You can even buy these powders to take home in their little shop corner. Just a heads up, their pancakes sell out quick, so go early if you want them. Overall, Wave is a chill spot with great flavors.

Cool vibes - Edit
Quick service and aesthetically pleasing meals. I ordered the scrambled tofu on English muffins with vegan hollandaise. The muffins were great and the tofu scramble was good but hollandaise was lacking - it did not have the zesty lemon flavour that hollandaise needs. Really nice vibey location and good ambience inside.

My vegan friend and I had an amazing brunch here. He had a beach bowl, which was super fresh and nutritious. My breakfast brioche and peanut butter coffee were very unusual and super delicious.

Nice brunch spot - Edit
The place is nice, relaxed atmosphere, big windows with natural light. And it's not on the street, so it's quiet.
Read moreBut it is small, and they needed to put as many seats as possible, so it's a bit tight.
There is no table service, you will need to order and then collect.
Food is good, portions are right, a bit expensive, but considering the costs of it all, not overpriced.
I love the matcha latte, so creamy!
Multiple milk alternatives available.
There are ready pastries and savory bagels, or you can order something from the kitchen.
Pros: Macha latte, Scramble tofu bagel, Pancakes
Cons: Not much space, Bit on the pricey side

Nice vegan brunch place - Edit
Nice vegan brunch place. I got the avo on toast (£9) and mushroom roll (£4). One of the poshest avo on toast i’ve ever had, topped with sprouts and pesto on english muffin buns.

Had brunch and vegan salmon bagel. For a £7.5 bagel made primarily of carrots you'd expect it to be freshly prepared but not really. Still tasty though

Very Nice find in Hackney - Edit
First stop after the Eurostar Train from the Netherlands: WAVE. It is December and cold, we had delicious hot coco and two of us (party of 3) had it with peanut butter. We also had fresh juices, a small crumble pie and 2 bagels with no salmon. Real nice food, friendly staff.

Watch for overcharging - Edit
I thought I’d found a gem for vegan food but on second visit after paying realised I’d been overcharged; £28.36 for £21.10 worth of food and this is after the £1 refund they begrudgingly gave. Apparently it was my fault as I had authorised a 12.5% tip, which I hadn’t (£7.26 is more than 12.5% anyway) - for some reason it was not possible to refund the erroneous tip. This in addition to sun par food; a totally different experience to the day before. Shan’t be using again.

Disappointed for the price - Edit
I took my non-vegan teenage niece here as I thought the quality would show her how good vegan food can be. Unfortunately her cookie was overbaked, so was really hard and brittle. I think it's put her off vegan baked goods for a while, which is a shame (hopefully one day she'll try again)!

Still dreaming about the pancakes - Edit
A cozy place tucked in a quiet corner off the busier shopping street. Nice atmosphere and interior. I had the absolutely tasty pancakes with maple syrup and caramelised banana. The only minus for me was that compared to the portion sizes the food was a bit pricey - but that really seemed to be the case in a lot of places in London…

Breakfast was called “sunny side” which is a plant based take on eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint. Followed by two delicious desserts and killer coffee.

Quiet treasure in Hackney - Edit
This little cafe is so well situated in a small alley just 2 minutes walk from Hackney Central station. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the menu is very versatile - it was so hard to choose from the lovely options 🤩 The cafe has a spacious indoor area and an inviting outdoor area as well with canopies, so could sit outside even when it was raining ☔️ Drinks were very special and the food was ready in no time and was super delicious 😋 It’s a great place to catch up with friends, share a great brunch with your loved ones, and many people were there working on their laptops, so if you’re looking for a lovely place for work away from home then it’s the perfect spot 💻. Dogs are welcome as well 🐾
