Amazing Food - Tons of Vegan Options

I tried every vegan thing on the menu: 2 small plates - heirloom tomato salad and watermelon cucumber salad (must be modified, otherwise dressing has fish sauce), 1 entree - roasted cauliflower, 3 sides - corn fritters, yellow rice, and eggplant balado, and 1 dessert - lemon sorbet with strawberries and lime coconut foam, and everything was absolutely delicious!!! The corn fritters, in particular, were fantastic and unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Definitely try them if you go.

The server was knowledgeable about veganism and what could be made vegan. The food was shared between me and my two meat-eater companions and we were all blown away!!

Definitely recommend!!

Pros: Food tastes amazing, Very knowledgeable staff, Great atmosphere

Cons: Vegan options light on protein

One single spicy dish

There is a single vegan entree on the menu, a super spicy cauliflower dish (my stomach hurt afterward). We were excited about all the veggie appetizers but they all have fish based sauce and the waiter wasn’t flexible about removing the sauce. It’s too bad because it’s a very cool trendy vibe and could have so much potential

Pros: Trendy cool vibe

Cons: Single vegan entree, The veggie appetizers all have fish based sauce!

Many vegan side options

Roasted cauliflower entrée was good. Corn fritters side was too greasy for my taste. Server was knowledgeable about vegan options. Most of the sides are vegan. Somehow the vegetable spring rolls aren’t though😒

Wonderful vegan options at an omni restaurant

Wayan is omnivore restaurant that offers great choices for vegans. The staff is extremely well trained and made sure everything was fully vegan that we ordered. It’s a nice option in NYC if you have groups that need omni choices for a nice meal out.

Pros: Vegan choices, Knowledgeable staff

Cons: Some things cannot be made vegan
