Great vegan spot in Chinatown - Edit
Lovely to find a spot that’s all vegan - and has affordable, tasty food, with great service. We tried the satay sticks, dumplings and curry chicken noodles (and a refreshing, sweet drink with goji berries and grated apple in it). Everything had lots of flavour. The staff were lovely and helpful. Prices good. Highly recommend #Veganuary

Cozy and delicious authentic Chinese food! - Edit
On my first day in Singapore, I opted for a local Chinese restaurant, and I was not disappointed. The food was amazing (the peanut sauce to die for), and I am making it my mission to come back again very soon! Not only was it super filling, but it was also really inexpensive! I absolutely positively 1000% recommend coming here at least once! You won’t be disappointed 🤩 #Veganuary

How one vegan happy can be to find a place like this! - Edit
Although the place accepted cash only that day it was worth to find the ATM! I was not prepared to pay cash reading on happy cow that place accepts cards. However ATM not so far, and food totally worth it! Had satay small and tofu with veggies not spicy with rice. The best satay I ever tried with the delicious peanut sauce. Tofu structure delicate hugged by the tasty sauce.

Amazing buffet! - Edit
Lots of options here. Don’t go for the black pepper noodles, they didn’t pack the punch I was hoping for. Had 3 plates from the buffet and that was delicious each time! Filled Bao (in front of buffet) and drinks also perfect. Cheap and nice mix of people.

A great vegan find - Edit
In a meat/fish focussed city, it's great to find a restaurant where you don't have to navigate the menu. At 43 Temple Street it's close to Chinatown MRT. The menu is extensive and cheap and the service friendly. We had tom yum, crispy noodles, bao bun and two lime juices, all for $20SGD.

Popular spot - Edit
This place is popular with locals and tourists. Fully vegan menu in a cute small restaurant. We tried both the fried kwei dioa noodles and spicy noodles 🍜 both were very nice. I'm not personally a fan of the soya protein used in the ramen but my husband did. Be prepared as it can be busy. Recommend if you want a cheap, quick meal.

Simple, delicious food - Edit
Had the satay chicken skewers, chicken in sweet and sour sauce, and some plain boiled rice.
Read moreFood was sublime - tasty, filling, and relatively cheap. Exchange rates on the day meant this meal and a can of cola cost me £13. Feels outrageous! Especially when you consider it's all organic.
Service was friendly, efficient, and not pushy. English is limited, but enough to take your order, ask about WiFi, etc. No problems.
I look forward to visiting again!
PS. They do take card. :)

Great choice of authentic Asian cuisine in the heart of Chinatown. Some of the best Asian food my husband’s had (apparently!)
Read moreWe chose spicy fried tofu, monkey mushrooms and crispy noodles - all delicious!
Fairly priced.
From info on the walls it looks like the family are involved in charitable causes- providing organic veg to the poor and elderly.
We left our backpack there, in error. They looked after it safely until we returned several hours later.
Pros: Great choice of food, Prompt service, Family run

Vegetarian for the people - Edit
Are you looking for an authentic restaurant that's not aimed at tourists but at locals? Look no further than "Yi Xin", although the name seems to be debatable. It is listed as "Yi Xin Vegetarian" food on Happy Cow while it clearly states "Yi Xin Vegan" on the building.
Read moreBeing confused about this. I asked the owner which means were vegan and which vegetarian. It turned out the owner speaks very limited English and only knows some standard sentences to help foreigners. Luckily, a local came to the rescue and interpreted. It turns out the menu is in fact vegetarian, but most meals can easily be turned vegan. Taking a chance, I ordered "whatever you recommend" and received a big plate of noodles and vegetables. It was tasty and filling, although a bit on the fatty side.
Considering the authenticity, the low prices ($ 6 for a big plate) and the variety in the menu I do recommend you try Yi Xin. One word of warning: cash only.
Pros: authentic place where the locals eat, low prices, rich in taste
Cons: cash only, limited understanding of English
