incorrectly labelled - Edit
The bibimbap option labelled as 'vegetarian' contains fish sauce in one of the marinated veggies in the bibimbap itself and also 2 of the side dishes. I was suspicious upon received the bibimbap as normally veggies marinated in red sauces contain fish sauce. I asked them in Korean if it specifically contained fish sauce and they said YES so I asked them to remove it.
Read moreThey took the bowl away and brought it back. when I say at my table I saw that has just scooped out the offending veggies and piled some seaweed on top to hide the sauce... meaning, the sauce, and therefore the fish product, remained in my dish. I took it back again and asked for a new one.
They gave me a new one in the end with none of the fish-sauce containing elements included. It was also missing the side soup so that must have contained fish as well. The food was still tasty but PLEASE BE CAREFUL IF YOU COME HERE - 'vegetarian' in Korea is often understood as what is called 'pescatarian' in the west.

Great for being the only option - Edit
Not a lot of choices. Can be spicy or mild depending on your mixing of ingredients.

Great - Edit
At the door there are two dishes clearly labelled vegetarian and vegan. I asked for the vegetarian bibimbap without egg and they understand fine. The bibimbap and side dishes were a delicious meal. It's nice that they have a vegan option at the tower.

Only vegan option - Edit
This is the only spot with vegan options at Namsan Tower. I got the bibimbap pot, which I think is the only option, though it was excellent. Just ask for no egg. They also provide free self-serve refills of the kongjang (black bean side dish). Feels weird giving 4 stars to a place with like 1 vegan dish, which is also the only option in the whole area, but hey I enjoyed the meal.

The one vegan option in Seoul Tower - Edit
The only vegan option I could find in the tower, and it was great!
Read moreBibimbop serves in a sizzling hot Stone bowl in a traditional tray, with bowls of soups and sides.
There is a small salad station with more beans, kimchi, sauces and more for you to load up with to really fill the bowl too.
Only my first dish of Korean food in Seoul so take my opinion as such, but it was enjoyable for 12k won, which is good because it's literally the only thing vegan in the whole tower unless you want just chips or plain steamed rice
Pros: Traditional Korean dish, Free Kimchi and Salad Bar, Free water
Cons: Only one dish, have to specify "No egg" in Korean
