Good food and nice onsen - Edit
I reserved the vegan "teishoku" lunch for 4 people more than a week in advance. The lunch was good and the atmosphere of the onsen is good.
Read moreHowever, the timing was not ideal. The horseflies were very active and were quite irritating in the outdoor baths. They are only really active for a couple of weeks in August, so we chose pretty much the worst time to go. Also, onsen is more enjoyable when it is cooler outside. It was quite hot that day. Next time, I would like to go in the Fall.
There is a mixed gender bath as well as several baths which are exclusive to men or women.
I've never stayed overnight here, as rates are quite high in the summer, but it is quite affordable to go just for the afternoon. Next time, I want to try their vegan noodles!
Pros: delicious food, good atmosphere
