From the monotony of Turkish fast food, the Turkish fast food chain 'Cigköftem' stands out for its main product 'Cigköfte', a deliciously spiced, reddish, vegan wheat paste. In the main variant this is offered in a Dürüm (wrap) with salad and pomegranate sauce. The highlight is the additional use of fresh mint, which makes the taste even more unique. The Frankfurt branch is located near main railway station. The service has always been very friendly. For vegans a 100% recommendation.

It's all vegan. The cigkoftem was really good and another thing with beans and veggies and we tried, amazing.
Read moreThe guy in the counter was really nice and explained us everything we needed to know and gave us a taste of cigkoftem in lettuce before ordering.
The only problem was, and part of that was our fault, that there was an insane amount of parsley and mint in the wraps and took away all the flavours. We could have asked for it not to be included but we didn't know. I'd recommend going, but skip the herbs.

Cigköfte is one of my favorite foods, usually in a wrap. I spend about four weeks per year in Türkiye and eat it daily. This place compares favorably. I think I the produce is better than average, and they don't skimp on mint or lettuce. Or, if you ask, the hot sauce. I've visited three time in three days. Not counter guys I've dealt with have been great.

The Cigköfte wrap is really good and already a monthly ritual for lunch on a sunny workday. Good for take away and going to the nearby main river. The falafel is also good, but very crumbling and is only recommended sitting.

Giving it 5 stars as it was quick service, affordable and the staff was incredibly nice (and spoke English to me). First time having a kofte and admittedly it’s not what I expected....it’s a bit mushy and cold. Not going to deduct them stars over a personal preference! There is a small veggie pocket that is like a samosa that is heated up and very tasty.

In the centre of lively Frankfurter Bahnhofsviertel this place offers e.g. tasty dürüm wrap with cigköfte, falafel and icli köfte. staff is super friendly and funny. quick and tasty option - often saved my lunch break.

I enjoy their Köfte at least like once every two months. It's extremely yummy, the flavours are well put together, including pomegranate, lemon and different herbs, and there is a spicy and a very spicy option available. (If you are sensitive, please do not choose the very spicy variant. For me, even eating the moderate version has to be accompanied by drinking lots of cold water...).

They've now also been offering Falafel for some time. I tried it only once, it is good, but their Köfte is outstanding.
Sadly, they rised the price for one Köfte a lot during the last five years.

I’d never eaten food like this and thought he accidentally served me raw falafel. It was okay, I wouldn’t go back though . Owner way too personal with his questions- I ran out the door when he started asking me why I wasn’t married and why I was so skinny 😑

The growth of cigkofte places in Europe is a welcome trend. This place is no different from what I've had at others that look very similar (part of a chain?). It's quick, cheap, tasty, can be made fairly healthy, and conveniently located. Winner.

Good and cheap vegan kofte - Edit
I got a vegan kofte for 3,50€ and it was good, I just didn't like the mint in it, but others could like it. You can choose how spicy you want it. The guy working there was really friendly and we had a nice conversation even though I don't speak German and his English was limited. The location is great, very near to the central station, and the place has indoor and outdoor seating. The place is very tidy and clean. It's almost entirely vegan: I think only the turkish ice cream is not vegan, which is a freezer far from where the vegan food is made. I hope they stop selling dairy ice cream and start selling vegan ice cream, so I could give them 5 stars.

The primary food is definitely all vegan - the only dairy is the Turkish ice cream which is in a dedicated freezer away from the food preparation area. You can choose between the durum wrap, falafels and a stuffed pastry that looked somewhat like a samosa. It's close to the main station on a street that is mostly Turkish businesses. The owner was very friendly and chatty and continued to try and hold a conversation despite my lack of German and his limited English.

This is a really good option if you fancy a quick fresh snack in Frankfurt. For less than 5 EUR you get a durum with spicy cigkofte and fresh salds and herbs (the mint makes it outstanding!)
