Falafel eatery where you could customize your order with the complementary sauce & salad bar. Buffet available. Primarily takeaway with limited indoor seats, and there are benches on the nearby square where you can sit if the weather is nice. Garlic sauce contains egg. Double check that order is vegan. Open Mon-Sun 11:00-18:00.

Fast Falafel - Edit
There's no menu because there's only one offering--falafel in a pita. I appreciated the self-serve condiment bar, but you can't really mix the condiments into the pita because the falafel are already in it. Otherwise, it's a good small meal.

Great for a quick lunch - Edit
One of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch when I'm out in town. The only food choice is pita falafel. The falafel is freshly fried and very good. The salad bar is basic, but fresh. Some variety of drinks available. It would be nice if they would add hummus and tahin as options to add to the pita falafel.

Pros: Freshly made, tasty falafel and salad, Quick service, Friendly staff
Cons: The pitas are a bit bland, The sauces are not the best I've had

Falafel - Edit
Een begrip in Rotterdam! Het menu bestaande uit een broodje falafel, zoete aardappelfriet en een drankje is aan te bevelen.

Beware of this falafel stand - Edit
The salad bar didn't look fresh at all and the falafel were tasteless. Anyway as we were taking our third bite of the sandwiches a lady right next to us started screaming (a mouse came from the kitchen and ran outside). After that we kinda didn't wanna finish our falafel sandwiches. We threw them out and as we were leaving there was another mouse coming from the inside... super disgusting!!!!! The old lady that owns the place just smiled it away and acted like everything was totally fine. I guess I should have stuck with my gut feeling because the place doesn't look clean at all anyway. Worst falafel experience ever!!

Cons: mice problem , not clean , not fresh

Very basic falafel place - Edit
Small shop with one older woman who runs the place, always on her own. They only serve falafel here. The falafel itself is good, but the salad bar with fillings is very minimal. You can sit down but it's not a very cosy place.

Cons: Small salad bar, Grumpy service at times, Only falafel, doesn't serve anything else

Great vegan option the go or during shopping - Edit
The owner is very nice and told me everything is vegan indeed accept the garlic sauce. Usually that leaves me with just dry falafel balls but he also has other sauces available, such as a spicy tomato sauce. Fill your pita with falafel the way you like it from the buffet: the owner even gave me the tip to gently flatten the balls in the pita so I could fit more salad and veggies in!
Read moreA great quick and tasty option for vegetarians and especially vegans on the go (the latter who might end up eating fries with ketchup during shopping in Rotterdam city center or walking long distances to Burger Trut or Spirit).
Pros: Fast, Delicious and filling, Vegan sauce options

Yummy crunchy falafel - Edit
Everything is vegan with the exception of the knoflooksaus (garlic sauce) which is in a separate container
Read moreThe falafel balls are wonderfully crunchy and very tasty
The topping options are more limited than Maoz and the great (now closed) falafel truck that used to be on Eindrachtsplein, but I was nonetheless very happy with my sandwich
The owner is very friendly and talkative, mentioned the word vegan without being prompted, and even suggested that my daughter order fries from an adjacent stand and come back to eat them in De Falafel
Pros: Great falafel, Clearly marked, Convenient
Cons: Limited topping selection, Stall could use redecorating
