Great food and value for money - Edit
I came back 2 days in a row! It’s a fairly basic setup, 30THB for a bowl of rice and 2 different things. Everything I tried was really tasty. They also have free drinking water and ice. There is no English menu but they are helpful with things like spice levels.

Cons: Slightly small portions (but good for the price)

Best Thai food I ever had - Edit
Just wow! Every single dish was just the way it’s supposed to be, and more. The flavors are just perfect, especially the curries. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Can't live without it - Edit
I ate here every day with my partner, breakfast and dinner, when we were in Phuket town. It is cheap, nice and the ladies are lovely. We still go there for take aways. 2x brown rice, 3 toppings each has always been around 70-90B. Great place! Try the little round cakes, they sell them in plastic bags for 25B, delicious!

The best Thai buffet on Ranong Road - Edit
The best Thai buffet on Ranong Road with a lot of Thai and Chinese food. There are about 20+ dishes in the morning. They can set take-away. They have good massaman, laab, som tam, yam mamuang, noodles and some other dishes. No garlic, no onion, no animal product. Price is cheap. 1 dish for take away costs 20 THB. If you want to eat in price is 10 per side dish with rice. Free water. No air-con.

Cheap and Tasty - Edit
Perfect for a quick, cheap vegan meal. Good selection, helpful staff. Yes the plates are small but at 30baht a pop I don't see how anyone could complain. Would return.

Rude, Unpleasant, Unappetising - Edit
I visited this canteen as it's one of the few nearby 'jay' venues open at night, and because of the good reviews. I can only assume things have changed since those reviews were written. The staff, who I had to hunt down after standing around for several minutes, were unnecessarily rude and contemptuous, even going so far as to mock my speech and accent!?
Read moreThe 'soup' I ordered, despite being served in a child-sized bowl, contained about half a centimetre of water (I had to add my own from what I assume is the utensil-cleaning pan), and contained no tofu or protein of any description. Especially given the vegan paradise that is Phuket Town (including several daytime venues on the same street), I would never dream of setting foot in this shop again.
Pros: cheap
Cons: tiny servings without the usual ingredients, rude contemptuous staff, complete absence of love or caring

delicious food and very cheap - Edit
This is a simple restaurant with absolutely delicious food. I come here nearly everday. There is a buffet where you can choose anything you like. A lot of veggies but also dishes with tofu. The prices are really cheap. They also offer jay icecream.

plenty of choice - Edit
This restaurant, is very popular with locals and has plenty of options available to choose from which are all pre cooked, so much choice we just could not decide. There seems to be something for everyone. For 40THB we had two dishes with rice and soup on the table. The food was tasty, good quality and decent sized potions. What is not to like about this place, plus I had a sweet bread for 10THB at the end which was lovely. This is open later than the other places, we ate here then headed to the night market about 10 mins away.
