Unassuming Vegetarian restaurant

Everything is at least lacto-Ivo vegetarian, went here by accident when another restaurant nearby was closed and had some of the best meals ever. Makes great seitan fake-meats.

Endroit atypique

Un fish and ships et un "brownie" moyens mais un seitan maison ultra fondant mémorable

Pros: Pas trop cher

Cons: Peu d'options disponibles

Vintage place and good vegan food

This place looks very nice and vintage. We felt very good during our dinner here. The music was good and the staff very friendly. We tried the falafel burger and another one with seitan and we recommend them both. Very good and fulfilling.

Pros: Good value, Location, Cosy place

something special

Definitely a must visit. Extensive menu dominantly vegan. Very interesting ideas. Really thankful to be able to try local Serbian dishes veganised.

I've seen a review criticise the owner. He's a bloody gentleman. Honest, no bulls**t person. Maybe go say hi before going full keyboard warrior.

We had a blast in Mayka

We had one of the best vegan dinners in Belgrade in this restaurant. The owner offered to suggest a selection of meals and we liked the idea. What we got was a variety of extremely tasty, all different meals, where it was hard to decide which one was better!

No so great place

It was a very strange, uncomfortable place. The vegan food lacks originality. But, more than everything is that the owner of the place is treating his stuff badly, meddling with their job and the stuff was really trying to be very polite. I do not recommend the place. It is overrated and too pricy for what you get.

Cons: The owner is pushy and meddling with stuff's work, Not comfortable, Too pricey

funky restaurant

The interior of this restaurant is amazing! We tried falafel burger slightly too deep fried, club sandwich was nice but little dry at end, mac burger was lovely, chips were little greasy, chocolate smoothie was amazing, fresh fruit juice with pomegranate was yummy, vegan brownie was good with the ganache but otherwise dry, the orange and chilli vegan cake was weird and jelly like and nice if you like chilli in a dessert!

El restaurante es acojedor y el personal muy amable y atento. Yo comí una hamburguesa deliciosa, si algún día vuelvo a Belgrado repetiré seguro.

Pros: opciones veganas marcadas en el menú

Mayka- made with care

I spent 5 nights in Belgrade, and on 3 separate occasions dined at Mayka.. The food is great, with plenty of variety on the menu for vegans such as me, plus delicious desserts, beer and good, strong coffee; what's not to like?

The staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English (thank you!!).

If you don't like people smoking (outside), find another place. Mayka is not a hipster hangout but the food, ambiance and service are first class. The location may appear tricky to find, but once you've got your bearings, you will realise just how close it is to the main drag, Knez Mihailova. Get down there!

Thank you Mayka. You made my stay not just survivable but thoroughly enjoyable!

No complaints from myself and the group I was with. Not the cheapest going around but certainly not expensive. Totally worth it when new Belgrade.

Good food, funky decor, OK service

I ate here three times over last 4 days. Food is good but not always consistent (e.g. today Rajastani curry was little too salty). Service is attentive and welcoming with smile, desserts are excellent.

Concept Restaurant

This place is something you don't see everyday. The friendly owner turn a boutique into a restaurant. Risky but great outcome. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing night. I'll come again

Delicious food in heart of Belgrade

We had amazing food here in funky vintage store atmosphere. The mixed veg and vegan options with international and national twists. This is not a vegan restaurant you are going to leave hungry. They also have a very nice beer selection and lots of lots of teas. We were too full to have desert but they looked amazing. If I live in Belgrade Imwould be here everyday!

Pros: Expansive menu, Great vintage furniture, Very friendly staff

Cons: The rock classics sound track! , Too much to choose from..., To full to try desert

A good choice.... just not as good as Mandala

It's very good, the vibe is great, the decor is unique and interesting. The staff were great, my waiter spoke perfect English and was very friendly. I had the chips and mushrooms starter, which was basically exactly as described, and how I would make it myself at home - thrown in a pan, fried, then thrown in a bowl with some ketchup. My main course was the Serbian special, a pepper stuffed with some sort of cottage cheese, then battered and deep-fried - delicious. With some kebab type things that could easily pass as meat kebabs - quite nice. And some fairly stale bread - not so nice. But overall I enjoyed it, and would have gone again.

Had I written this review yesterday it would read better. But if you carry on down the side street past the building works you'll find Mandala, where I went today. And that's really top-drawer veggie dining, as good as you'll find anywhere. And to that, Mayka doesn't really compare.

Pros: Nice vibe, Good atmosphere, Decent food

Cons: Fairly rudimentary cookery skills on display, Why go here, when Mandala is 50 metres away?

A+ food

Vegetarian restaurant with plenty of clearly marked vegan options. The vegan burgers are tasty and the vegan brownie (actually more of an orange chocolate self-saucing pudding) is amazing. Staff are really friendly and prices are on-par for restaurants in the area.

Pros: Great food, Decent price, Friendly staff

Odd

Location, interior and food are all very nice, kinda expensive for relatively small potions, but good. however our server was quite weird and cold. A man, who i suppose, is the owner kept asking my sister and i very weird and intrusive questions, started with asking us whether we're vegetarian or vegan (which is fine!) but then ended up asking about our exact diet plans and made really uncomfortable comments about my weight, kept on asking whether i exercise, how much, how often, and other really weird questions.. he kept returning to talk to us, in a very odd way. probably wouldn't return

Loud with tasty juice

Honestly we found the music a bit loud and the food a bit bland (I ordered the Serbian touch meal - tempeh sausages) but the coffee is fine and the Granada juice was delicious. I would go back to try something else if I stayed longer but I wouldn't order the Serbian touch again.

Pros: Fresh juice , Moderately priced , Easy to find

Cons: Food could use more seasoning

Jeesus...

So, I ordered take away food, the food was great but unfortunately the dose was very very very tiny. Not even for a babyborn was suitable. So improve your doses in order to get better.

I'm sorry, but for 1000rsd (10euros) it doesn't worth it.

Cons: too expensive

Delicious

I loved this place! Great food, lovely staff and cosy interior. We had the typical Serbian sausages, made of tempeh and they were just great!

Pros: Everything veggie and vegan

Cons: The starter and main dish were served at the same

4 thumbs down!

we ordered the 3 vegan dishes and they were awful, tasteless and raw. the Thai special was overcooked bland rice only with 3 Vegetables. the 2nd one was the goulash, i never seen someone distorting this dish like that, it was pasta with gravy not at all as described. the last dish was Samosa, the pees in it were raw and tasteless and the dew was like plastic. don't waist your time and money on this 'restaurant' and go to the market buy ingredients and make better food at home. my cats could make better food then them

Pros: the actual place was nice, the waiters too.
