The best potatoes - Edit
The food is really very delicious and the price fair. Besides the Goulash, we ate a wonderful burger, but it was the paprika-flavored potatoes that won my heart.

The best vegan steak in existence - Edit
The seitan-based “Belgrade Steak” is god-tier. The quality, texture and taste was so perfect I nearly wept from sheer joy... It’s obvious the owner of the restaurant has poured his heart and soul into perfecting these dishes and hearing my feedback was met with great warmth. I’ve never experienced anything quite this good... 5 Stars.

Loads of vegan options everything labelled clearly mock meats are really good but have other tasty vegan options too! We had the Serbian starter which was sooooo good full of flavour and nice to have a traditional Serbian veganised dish. I had the bbq steak which was incredible the sides with it also amazing i tried my partners vegan goulash which too was lovely! We managed a bit of dessert but were so full had to take away with us. Staff were very friendly and helpful answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations! On the pricey side for the balkans but it is Belgrade however I would say the food it’s worth the money !

Had hubby's birthday meal here and there was so much choice! Sausage starter was immense and recommendations from the staff were great.

One of the most extensive, creative and imaginative menus I have seen. It's a small restaurant, very quirky and full of character but what it lacks in floor space it makes up for in choice. Everything we tried was delicious and we look forward to going again and trying other options.

Read moreHowever, once I was very offended by the questions of the owner - they were personal, intrusive and made me really not want to return to the restaurant. he kept returning to the table i was sitting at and asking weird questions while me and my sister where trying to enjoy our poorly seasoned food.
once i ordered coffee with soy milk, which was additionally priced to the original coffee cow milk price. for a veggie restaurant, i think that’s pretty much and unfair.
i DO NOT recommend it.

If you are a vegan and you are visiting Belgrade, this restaurant is a must. The atmosphere is super cozy, staff is lovely and the food is super delicious. This is a vegetarian restaurant but they have a ton of vegan options. 😄😄

This place is in the center of Belgrade. Vegetarian place with lots of vegan options. We shared few of the local Serbian dishes ( Belgrade steak and cevapi sandwich) in vegan version, and let me tell you, we were more than satisfied. Food is amazing and portions huge. Staff is super friendly and atmosphere of the place great. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Read moreStill, most things run as usual - one part of the place has comfy & cool looking seats & environment.
What's to mention: The potato wedges tasted really good! Less strong fried than on other places, therefore more soft, with fresh taste and fince spices.
Also the Saitan ("-steak") was not the chewy version as usual, but more a thick, soft one. Nice to try.
Main course size is big, staff friendly, price ok - bit on the higher side though.
Plenty of vegan options - marked with a sign (which also means 'can be made vegan' - a bit confusing when nonvegan words like *-cheese etc, are used on the same time.)

What really made me come back was the super friendly waiter haha. I had the mixed platter, which was really good and a Nektar beer which was recommended to me by the waiter. I enjoyed the platter and the beer very much. The next day I came back with my boyfriend just to have a drink. I had the banana daiquiri, yum! And my boyfriend had a fresh juice, which he liked very much. Loved the outdoor seating and the decor inside.

Patio has great ambiance. A little noisy from the road, but overall, there’s been effort put into making this place special, which shows and can be felt! I agree with other reviews, this place is very expensive for Serbia, even for Belgrade, even for the tourist district. I had the Mayka plate, the vegetables were amazingly seasoned and plentiful! I don’t know if their setan sausage is homemade, but it was sooo delicious. Also, my server was super kind! A little slow in that it’s not American style “turn and burn” service, but he was so nice and even helped me call a taxi to a nearby town and negotiate the rate with the driver before getting in the car. Really touched and impressed by this place and the people there :)

Great experience here. I found the waitstaff pretty friendly, though of course in a non-smothering European way. They even served me dinner my last night when they were starting to close up and we’re super non-rushing and friendly about it. I’ll come here first my next trip to Belgrade!

Lo malo es el trato con el staff, no son muy amigables ni serviciales, además los precios estan totalmente fuera de mercado para lo que es la ciudad. 27€ pagamos por 2 cervezas, un entrante y dos platos principales. Hay mejores opciones en la ciudad.

Good food huge portions. I had the Serbian sausage and the Dochola (I think) steak. Both came with bread with chickpea and pea spread and a small salad. Main also had curried veg. Waaaaay to much for one sitting so I have lunch tomorrow sorted by the looks!

This was my fifth and possibly last visit to Mayka. The whole menu is overpriced for Serbia.
Read moreBurger was very dry and fries were oily. There are no prices for the juices, they use some weird weight system which I've never seen anywhere else in the world. The only good thing I have enjoyed on the menu is the curry, unfortunately I don't like eating them when the weather is hot. Very disappointed.
Pros: Curries are good, Juices are good but no set prices
Cons: Very Expensive menu, No prices for the juices, weird weight system, Dry burgers and oily fries.
