Great!

Fantastic! Loads of different options, I got the ceaser salad with Seitan and The magic cookie and both were gorgeous!

Brunch Park and Museums

Brunch at Peacefood Cafe — always such a great spot, especially if you’re planning to spend the day walking around Central Park or visiting museums nearby.

We started with juices and smoothies, then I ordered the chicken & waffles while my husband enjoyed the quinoa salad with tofu. Everything felt fresh, balanced, and genuinely nourishing without sacrificing flavor. Truly pure vegan comfort food at its best.

After brunch, we walked through Central Park over to The Frick Collection, which was absolutely stunning.

Such a delicious selection!

This was such a great find. We initially went in for coffee and cake and then returned for dinner a little while later. The range of cakes and pastries was incredible and I wish we had had more time to try them all!
Highly recommend!

Impressive @ the Upper Westside

This was our first visit here. We decided to go out to eat for Christmas dinner. We don't go out to eat much since it can be difficult finding a raw vegan friendly restaurant for me to eat at. I follow a raw vegan diet. My husband is vegan friendly.

I was excited to try the raw sushi and the raw lasagna in which the waitress convinced me it wouldn't be too much food but I only received the sushi and a cooked vegan calamari dish instead of the lasagna.

The waitress apologized and took it off the menu but never asked about what was the other thing I wanted. In hindset, it all worked out although, initially I was a little disappointed but after having the raw cashew cheese cake, I was definitely full.

My husband initially follows a carnivore diet but on days like this, he is vegan friendly and he thought the Christmas special of the vegan meatloaf, green beans, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy and homemade stuffing was one of the best meals he's had in a long time AND, he was impressed with the decent or big serving size plus, he enjoyed the hot chocolate and cake for dessert. Whenever, we go out to eat at a vegan restaurant, I think my husband always worries about whether he's going to get a small serving size and be left hungry afterwards but this wasn't the case here. He was more than satisfied.

All in all, we both agreed this is a good place to come back to especially, for dessert or if we're in the area since we live in the outer boroughs. We definitely plan on coming back with our niece who is vegetarian. We think she would really love the food AND the retro vibe of the restaurant. Plus, I still want to try the raw lasagna. Who knows, maybe by then they'll have a couple more raw vegan options.

Pros: The raw cashew cheese cake., The big vegan portion sizes., They offer daily specials.

Cons: The waitress messed up my order on my first visit., Waitress service stops after they bring the check., Mashed potatoes was cold.

Fave UWS restaurant

This is my favorite restaurant on the Upper West Side! The sandwiches and juices are great but the chickpea fries are my absolute favorite. The service is usually pretty quick and always welcoming. I've never had a problem getting a table and am always seated quickly.

Vegan Heaven in a nice area

Delicate vegan food, for lunch and dinner as well as coffee and cake. So many options that it was hard for me to decide! All the cakes and cookies looked great! We tried the chickpea fritters, a peanut butter cheesecake and a cookie sandwich, everything was very good! The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service was friendly and attentive! Really worth to go!

Pros: Lots of cakes and baked goods!, Beautiful area, Delicious!

Adorable Cafe, Great Experience

My husband and I walked over to Peacefood cafe after visiting the Natural History Museum. It has a huge all vegan menu, we both enjoyed our meals.

Decent but not the best

I had the seitan panini and the chickpea fries. They sounded delicious on the menu and looked great, but didn’t live up to expectations. I would go back but order something else.

Great lunch

Everything was delicious and fresh. The desserts are to die for. We made this part of our museum of natural history trip since there was no decent vegan offerings in any of their cafes. Was just a quick walk there from the museum.

Cons: Service was efficient but a bit cold.

Worth the visit

This place is lovely and the food is delicious. We had the curry and the pot pie as well as the raw key lime pie for dessert and all were great. Although they were out of a lot of menu items and we only found out as we tried to order them.

Edit: came back for brunch and tried the waffles and mac and cheese, which were even better!

Absolutely excellent

It was a great experience. They had awesome specials and a full menu. (Sometimes vegan restaurants feel limited in their offerings, but they had such a diverse variety of foods and it didn’t feel limited at all.) Will definitely be back.

Pros: Variety of Food Options

One of my favourite spots

One of my favourite vegan spots in NY, great and varied selection of dishes as well as a ton of amazing sweets (that I usually don’t have room for after a meal because the portions are huge…) - special shoutout to the fantastic chickpea fries! Also like the atmosphere of the place, it feels warm and welcoming.

Pros: Chickpea fries, Varied selection of dishes & sweets, Good vibe

UWS staple for vegan food

I go to Peacefood often, and have never had a dish I didnt enjoy (except maybe the roasted potato pizza). My favorite items are the miso tahini sandwich, mac and cheese, lasagna, and chocolate cake. It's also nice that they serve the all-day menu in addition to the dinner menu in the evening (although they may not give you the physical all-day menu you can look online and order from either menu). The staff are always friendly and I never feel rushed during a meal. The prices are a little expensive, but really on par with other restaurants in the city. I do wish the they had lighter pastries like croissants, but the desserts they do have are good.

Pros: Delicious food and lots of options , friendly staff, Great baked goods

Cons: Busy on weekend nights

Vegan cheesecake!

I've been here for food a few times and enjoyed everything, but honestly sometimes I go here just for the cheesecake. It's so decadent, and there's no other restaurant nearby that offers something similar.

Brunch

A fantastic place to have brunch on a Saturday morning! We ordered the breakfast sliders, waffles & tenders and the biscuits & gravy. The server was super friendly and the sausage gravy was SO flavorful and the tenders were the perfect texture. If it wasn't so far from our hotel and other plans for the day we would have definitely come back for another meal or dessert!

Best food we had

One of the best meals we had (up there Witt UT47, but UT47 was not fully vegan). Both the plantain lasagna and sushi are highly recommended. I had the berry cheesecake and my partner had the pb chocolate cake. Both good (his better ;))

Pros: Amazing food, Good service

Cons: No wifi , Bit pricy (but for really high quality)
