Seit nun 9 Jahren bin ich regelmäßig Gast im Sattgrün, sei es im Hafen oder Flingern. Das Personal ist immer freundlich, das Essen schmeckt immer frisch und lecker, die Preise sind zwar deutlich über die Jahre gestiegen? aber ich empfinde das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis immer noch als fair. Besonders gefallen mir die wechselnden Gerichte je nach Jahreszeit!

I had such a good meal here! I wish I’d taken pictures, but basically, this is a sort of buffet that isn’t all-you-can-eat style but more like a cafeteria. You pick the size of your plate and fill it up with whichever items you please. There was a lot to choose from, including a nice, more salad-like section and a cooked food section. Everything I got was delicious, and for how much I ate (read: a lot), I thought the price was reasonable. The outside seating area was nice, too, but if that’s not your thing, you can eat inside as well.

Read moreWe stopped in for lunch, tried variety of salads and hot dishes. Happy to report that hot food was fresh and hot. Served with love and care. Variety of fresh salads and hot dishes including curry and Thai curry dishes. Food is quite mild, not spicy, but that could depend on taste. At least 3 soups daily, not included in buffet. Thank you staff and team! Drinks lattes and desserts fresh and available.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Big choice of food - everyone can find something for themselves. Not too big local but for my visit it was fine. Cakes are delicious too.

I loooove a good buffet and Sattgrün far surpassed my expectations. You pick your plate and pile as much food onto it as you can - there are fresh salads, pastas, and above all, lots of really good protein options! The seitan or soy chunks in a roti canai-like stew was my favorite but there was also a really good seitan döner and a soy chunks stroganoff. Highly highly recommend! Next time I would try the cakes.

I love it here! Many choices of cold dishes (which tend to be on the healthier side) and hot dishes (which tend to be more indulgent). Many beautiful colours and everything tasty and fresh. They are not shy to offer high protein dishes, either, which is appreciated! I took a large plate so I could try many things and there wasn't anything I did not enjoy. There are a few simple desserts available, I took a maple walnut cake which is very 'my sort of thing' - I recall it looked a bit dry but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was moist and yummy. The portion was very generous, too. The cake was quite sweet and I sadly could not finish (wishing I had instead taken it to-go to eat later after my meal digested). My husband took a very peanuty cake with chocolate, which was very indulgent and sweet. If you enjoy rose flavours, they had Elephant Bay Rose Water which was a lovely, gentle compliment to my lunch. 10/10 great place, highly recommended!

They offer a vegan buffet option, where you can choose whatever you want. I always prefer the salad options, as I am not a big fan of mock meat. They also offer cakes, but they are quite plain, so I do not buy them anymore. I like that the food is healthy and I have the feeling I spent my money for a good cause. You need to ask for tab water, because if you don't, you won't get any offered.

For my main course, I opted for the vegan gyros with mushroom noodles and tzatziki. The dish was a revelation in terms of flavor. The plant-based gyro alternative was wonderfully seasoned and had a pleasing texture. The mushroom noodles complemented the dish perfectly, with a touch of fresh herbs. The vegan tzatziki was refreshing and creamy, without compromising on the traditional taste.
As dessert, I chose the vegan apple crumble. The crumble had a crispy crust and was filled with warm, cinnamon-spiced apples. The taste was simply heavenly and perfectly balanced.
Sattgrün in Medienhafen Düsseldorf is a fantastic restaurant for vegans and anyone who enjoys healthy eating. The concept impresses with its variety of plant-based options and the quality of the dishes. The ambiance and service further contribute to a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Mein Mann und ich haben bei einem Aufenthalt in Düsseldorf mittags im Sattgrün gegessen. Die Auswahl am Buffet fanden wir gut, das Essen war in Ordnung, allerdings war das warme Essen ziemlich kalt. Manche Speisen hätten mehr gewürzt sein können.

The restaurant is a buffet with 3 sizes of plates that you can fill with as much food as fits for a fixed price. I got the medium, which was 14 Euros. There were so many dishes and I took tiny bits of most of them and filled my plate. It was very filling, but I ended up trying dessert anyway, which was very big and I couldn't finish. Everything was very good and I think the prices were reasonable. My favorite dishes were the cauliflower and the peanut sauce dish, but everything was excellent and it all blended into each other on my plate.

Sattgrün never disappoints! The prices are unbeatable for what you get: a fresh and delicious buffet. There is soup as a starter available. Then there’s the buffet section: many warm dishes with amazing flavors. Some favorites are soy chunks in peanut sauce, soy gyros, marinated mushrooms and much more. There’s also a salad section with freshly prepared salads such as red cabbage, carrot, potato etc. Their tzatziki sauce is so good as well! They also have amazing bread for the soup or salad, plus you shouldn’t skip on one of their homemade vegan cakes!
