Best meal - Edit
My husband and I are on vacation and this has not only been my favorite meal here but my favorite meal ever! I have absolutely nothing to critique. The hostess called after we had made our reservations online and asked if we preferred a table or a seat at the bar and asked ahead of time if we had any food allergies! Everything was amazing. We started with the Brussel sprouts and then shared three rolls-the wedge, the Pacifica and the sunset roll. The dessert on special for the night was a chocolate cake with a strawberry cream cheese drizzle. I was so sad finishing my meal knowing that we don’t have enough time to come back before we leave to go home! If we do ever vacation here again this will for sure be our first stop for a meal!

One of our favorite vegan restaurants anywhere - Edit
Lovely atmosphere, gorgeous dish presentation and absolutely delicious food. The staff was super friendly as well. Our only regret was that we only had time to visit here for dinner once during our week-long visit.

Fantastic Japanese Vegan Food - Edit
Started out with the garlic edamame, gyoza, then had a Philly Roll, shredded tofu stuffed mushrooms, and had another assorted mushroom plate. All were fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Consistently great - Edit
The rolls were excellent as always. Ramen was decent. Brussel sprouts tempura was done well. Wasn’t big fan of the agedashi tofu (sauce reminded me of chinese sweet n sour sauce). Service was on point.

Non-vegans loved it! - Edit
I came with a large group including non-vegans. We tried 7 different sushi rolls, all of which were great. One person in my group was seriously blown away by how flavorful sushi without the fish could be! We came back a couple days later and tried the ramen, which was also fantastic.

So good we just kept ordering more! They are so creative with their food - it’s beautiful and unbelievably delicious! You’ll want to make a reservation - when I was there someone was trying to get a table without a reservation and they were turned away.

Excelent Food & Service - Edit
I made a last-minute reservation on yelp for 930pm for two last night. Parking is not the best, so I suggest taking Lift or Uber. Although parking will most likely be an issue, the food and service are worth it. The environment is welcoming. My none-vegan bro and I were speechless when we tried their Nigiri Avocado. My favorite specialty rolls are Pokai, The Wedge, and Point Reyes (give them a try, and you will know why). They also have Sake 🍶 if you want to feel like your in Japan try their Crane Sake, and they will serve it to like they would in Japan. Although we were the last customers, the service only has gotten better. I told them that it was my first time in the restaurant and that I had recently made the switch to becoming Vegan. They made great recommendations on what to try and some good advice for a new Vegan. This is a great place to eat with friends and to take your dates.

Awesome Food! - Edit
The food selection here was absolutely fantastic. I like Japanese food, specifically rolls, tempura and sushi. Being a completely Vegan restaurant, they have a vegan twist for all Japanese favourites. I would highly recommend this place even if you have to wait for an hour (we had to wait only for about 20 mins). This place was packed and yet they made accommodations to fit us in without having a reservation!

This is my favourite place we’ve visited whilst in Honolulu, and we made sure to come back a second time before flying home! Food is so well thought and and flavoured, and all presented beautifully. There are lots of gluten free options, and a really diverse and well balanced menu. Staff were all fantastic, so friendly and helpful.

Not HAPPY 1 BIT - Edit
My Wife and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary at this location .
Read moreWe waited to go there specifically for a special occasion . We dressed up because when they first open they had a dress code . We got there to realized we were overdressed . There is absolutely no dress code .
While we had an okay waiter , we weren't the happiest because lets face it who wants to celebrate an intimate moment such as their anniversary sitting at the end of a sushi bar (where u cant even see the chef) watching waiters ring up orders all night....maybe some people but not us. We made a reservation and told them it was a special occasion, our 2 year anniversary, on the reservation, arrived 15 minutes early as well. We expressed to the hostess we didnt want to sit at the bar she explained to us that we had to reserve a table . I explained we did have a reservation but she broke it down to me that we had to call to reserve a table .
NO WHERE IS THAT LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE !! ALL it says is reserve a table THATS IT. Ontop of that there were 4 empty tables when she decided to sit us at the bar .
Needless to say we werent big fans of our experience . AT ALL . MY wife and I are huge foodies we love to go out to eat and try alot on the menu. Normally, we stay at a restaurant at least hour ordering and trying things including desserts, we never just order 1 thing on the menu. We try it all normally spending over $100+. We only ordered 1 thing each and something to share(WHICH WE NEVER DO) and left . She does reviews of restaurants on ig and this experience wasnt worth giving any praise about due to lack of communication . My wife does not want to come back.
however 1 thing i did like about the restaurant was the lady sitting next to us . and she was a customer . The customer told us happy anniversary but none of the workers did . and we put it on our reservation !!!!
the food was okay . we left hungry . we still tipped our waiter because its not his fault.
I do not recommend this restaurant .
Pros: Waiter was okay, We were sat on time , Waiters and waitresses had smiles the entire time
Cons: Lack of Communication, Not accommodating. Not even the manager , Food was just okay

This is the BEST food anywhere, hands down. - Edit
My wife and I ate here 3 times while we were on the island- if they were open Sunday and Monday it probably would have been 5! The staff were fabulous - super friendly and very attentive. The food was incredible. The first night we sat at the bar and got to see the chef at work- what a treat! The folks who created this restaurant are amazing and the chef is a true artist. Everything we tried, we loved. My wife grew up eating Japanese food made by her grandma. When she tried the nasu, she said it tasted like childhood. That’s a huge compliment coming from her- and that’s how incredible this place is. When we celebrated my birthday there on Saturday, they brought a scoop of ice cream, sang just the last line of happy birthday (thank you for not dragging it out! 😂) and were so generous with their time and attention. Must go here if you are in the area. Thank you!!
