Serves meat, vegan options available. Hot pot cafe in China Town. Choose the broth you'd like, plus vegetables and tofu to cook yourself. Open Mon-Thu 11:30am-11:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:30am-1:00am, Sun 11:30am-11:00pm.
Don’t let the low star average (mostly from one bad review and a low total number of reviews ) scare you off. This place is outstanding!
There’s one listed vegan broth on the menu but our server told us most broths can also be made vegan. My friend and I split a hot pot with two broths: the wild mushroom (already vegan) and a Szechuan broth (made vegan). Both were amazing just on their own. Then, there were tons of vegan options for the hot pot itself. We did the mushroom medley, steamed tofu, a veggie platter (which was mostly bok choy but had other stuff too), the pumpkin and the rice cakes. The options for hot pot were reasonable sizes so you could really try a bunch of things, and the hot pot itself was massive with a ton of broth. Obviously a lot boils down/off, but I still ate a ton of tasty soup.
Everything was amazing but the wood ear mushrooms, pumpkin, and rice cakes were especially stand out because of their ability to soak up so much good broth.
I will make this a must-visit when I am in Boston for sure.
One of my most frequented restaurants in Boston. They have two standard broths that are vegan as-is and several more that can be made vegan (including the kimchi broth). I always get the tofu platter and house noodles which go great with all the broths. Veggies are always fresh tasting as well. Staff is knowledgeable.
tried it when i ate meat and LOVED it. tried it one and two more times just to be sure and it was horrible. wasnt full and spent too much money for a bad meal
A gem in China Town! Cozy into one of their large booths and pick from their large selection of broths from mild to super spicy! Pick from their selection of veggies and tofu to cook right at your table. Don't miss out on their bubble tea!
