Affordable Groceries - Edit
Groceries are very expensive in NYC compared to other parts of the country, but Trader Joe's is pretty affordable. Their store brand vegan milks, yogurts, and ice creams are very good. There are lots of organic fruits & veggies, too. The huge selection of spiced nuts is exceptional. Please note, it's not an all vegan store.

Good prices - Edit
Like most of Trader Joe's branches, this one is large (though the largest NYC branch is on W 72 Street) and roomy (that is, not at all cramped feeling). Trader Joe's is not a vegan-only store by any means, but they do offer plenty of vegan items at decent prices, including a lot of fresh produce (including organic fruits and veggies), frozen items, beans, nuts, and the like. They don't offer a lot of brands--a lot of the pre-packaged items is from Trader Joe's own brand.
