Great place! - Edit
I’ve been here 4 times so far. The menu is mainly focused on noodle/soup like dishes (tantan men) but occasionally they’ll do other limited time dishes as well. Plenty of vegan choices.
Read morePros: Plenty of vegan options, Great taste, Good price!
Cons: Usually have to line up for 20 or min to get in , Located in the super crowded Tokyo station

You have to buy a ticket for entering - Edit
We went with my family of four and had a great lunch. We paid around 4500 yen in total (with desert). This place is realy busy douring lunch time so we had to wait about five minutes till we got seated. Our food came rather quick though and was delicious. Only real downside is the need to buy a ticket to ueno train station for 140 yen pp.

Nice food and service - Edit
Lots of options(all vegan!) and very friendly staff. The menu has English in it. The restaurant is located in the JR station so the “entrance ticket” is required.

Food was fast, delicious and cheap. I had the tonkotsu ramen followed by the soy milk pudding and both were great.

Easy yummy ramen inside Ueno train station in tokyo - Edit
My partner and I struggled to find vegetarian ramen options in Japan and were happy to find this place. While it’s located inside the Ueno train station so not the best atmosphere- the space was clean the service was friendly and the food was yummy and fresh! A good ramen option.

Not a single dish I could eat - Edit
I know that I'm far from alone in having a nut allergy, so it's pretty ridiculous that this establishment would serve exclusively meals made with peanut butter.
Read moreThe variety of foods on the menu was great (around fifteen different entrees give or take), but pretty pricey in many cases.

Best vegan ramen 😍 - Edit
Read the Vegan Tokyo Guide on https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-tokyo-guide/
Read moreIf you ask me for recommendation for vegan ramen in Tokyo, I’d suggest T’s Tantan. This vegan ramen chain sells classics like tonkatsu ramen and gyozas. It also has the highly popular sesame Tantan noodles.
The tantan noodles are full of flavors. The taste of peanut butter and sesame make this one of the best noodles I’ve had. It also comes with other toppings like pickles, sesame seeds and veggies.
Other sides are good as well, although not as delicious as the ramen. The gyozas taste great, but the skin is a little bit too dry. Would recommend the fried chick’un more.
They are both located inside JR train stations. So you’d need to pay 140 yen if you are not traveling on the correct line. It’s also not the easiest to find.
Usually T’s Tantan in Tokyo station is very busy. There seems to be always a queue outside. So prepare more time if you plan to visit. This one in Ueno Station is not as busy.
But if you would like to try the noodles, why not go to T’s flagship restaurant in Jiyugaoka? They also have the signature ramen, alongside many other comfort food choices. Also, it’s not too far away from the city (6 stops from Shibuya).
If you have to choose between the Tokyo station shop or the Ueno station shop, I would recommend the one in Ueno as it’s not as busy and seem to have a bigger menu.
Pros: Delicious ramen, All vegan
Cons: A bit hard to find and it's inside JR station

Excellent deep sesame broth - Edit
The sesame broth was the most rich I had in Japan so far. Quite filling and delicious if you love the taste of sesame. I also had the green tea ice green (powdered matcha on vanilla ice cream, and sweet syrup), which was small but tasty.

Busy but Tasty - Edit
My partner and I didn’t have a hard time finding this spot, but due to its location in the JR part of the station, we had some difficulties getting in and out. Because we weren’t taking a train out of the station, our passes wouldn’t let us leave through the ticket gates, and we needed to speak to a train attendant to be let through. Regardless, the food was delicious! I especially loved the soup broth, which was incredibly flavorful. I wish that the icecream portions were bigger, but only because it was so tasty!

Second and third and fourth visit - Edit
During our stay in Tokyo we ended up visiting four times in total at various times of the day.
Read moreThe katsu sando was great; we ordered two for takeout so we could eat them for lunch during our long road trip because we didn’t fancy the idea of getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with little food choice. If you’re going through Ueno station and you need lunch for later I highly suggest the takeout sandwich.
Of the 3 different ramens we tried my favourite was the gold sesame because it was creamy and nutty. The fried soy karaage is also really good and the ice cream which is made from soy and rice milk is especially delicious; they have a limited edition matcha version at the moment that uses their normal ice cream but sprinkled with high quality matcha.
The price is really really good too and CIA dieting the quality of the ingredients used was the best value for money ramen we ate.
Pros: Lots of options, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner , Friendly staff

You can find it! - Edit
Not too hard to find really! It’s inside the JR ticket gates (so fine if you have a JR pass) in the food area called Ecute. It’s right next to one of the entrances to platform 8. We found it in about five minutes. Very quick and friendly, big bowl of very tasty ramen, fully vegan.

Golden sesame - Edit
Came here twice plus visiting the Tokyo station one and loved it so much! Had to wait to get in one time but it's pretty fast. Took they're take away noodles for emergency food! Very difficult to find but figured out to follow signs for the ecute shop. Only tried the golden sesame and the dumplings, both delicious.

Better than Tokyo station - Edit
I like this restaurant more than the one in Tokyo station. It's not that the food is better, both are amazing, but this location just feels a little more relaxed. Don't get me wrong, it still gets quite busy at times but being in a smaller station is nice.

Excellent vegan food - Edit
Delicious and well priced. I had the white sesame tantan noodles, which was really incredible, one of the best vegan ramens I've had! Also had a mini soy beef bowl, which was really good too! Altogether, my meal cost about Y1200--frankly I would have paid twice the price for that meal. They also have options for oriental vegans.

Best ramen in Tokyo - Edit
Genuinely the best ramen in Tokyo, my go for is the gold sesame one but I tasted all options and you won't go wrong with any of them! Their gyoza is also delicious. For some reason the ramen in Ueno branch is cheaper (but by no means less delicious!) than in Tokyo station.

Fav place in Tokyo - Edit
This is the best ramen imo. I love the brown one the most, but the black one holds a place in my heart too. It’s so delicious, that you will be coming back, or visiting Tokyo st. branch very often. I’m not a big fan of the gyoza side tho. When i visited last year, it wasn’t that busy, but this year it was packed with ppl. (But listen yo it is 100% worth waiting!:))
