I got a kombucha, Vegan ceviche and Bimibap bowl. The ceviche was so so. It’s made of mushrooms, mango and cucumber and the mix of these flavors didn’t mix well in my opinion.

The main con is that the menu is somewhat small, and many of the dishes have sweet / fruity components. It would be nice to expand it and add more savory dishes.

Unser erster Besuch im Vhy! in Stuttgart. Wir waren zufrieden, das Essen war gut. Etwas Abzug gibt es für Preis (wobei der Preis ok wäre wenn dafür die Portionen etwas größer ausfallen würden…) und Wartezeit.

We had an amazing evening, the interior is very stylish, our waiter was lovely and the food was pretty neat, quite expensive but tastewise very interesting and elaborate. Had the sweet potato which was topped with all kinds of intriguing things, pickled onions, crunchy bits, herbs etc., the coconut sesame (?) sauce was great and the skin of the sweet potato was crispy and slightly caramelized, there were tons of things to discover. My date had the paella which she found a little bit too salty. We agreed we would both love to come back, though.

Letzten Samstag wollte ich ins vhy zum Mittagstisch. Damit es auch klappt und sich meine Fahrt nach Stuttgart lohnt hatte ich am Vortag extra angerufen und mich nach Öffnungszeiten und Reservationsmöglichkeit erkundigt.
Read moreDie Dame am Telefon hatte mir den Mittagstisch von 12:00 - 14:00 bestätigt. Reservierung sei keine möglich/nötig. Sie blieb dabei, auch als ich wegen der abweichenden Angaben auf der Website (bis 13:00) nachgefragt hatte.
Um 13:30 im vhy angekommen wurde mir beschieden, dass es jetzt keinen Mittagstisch mehr gebe, die Küche sei zu.
Auf meinen Einwand, dass mir eine Kollegin am Vortag etwas anderes gesagt hatte bekam ich vom Personal nur ein Schulterzucken und "ist doch klar, dass es Mittag nur bis 13:00 gibt". Von Worten des Bedauerns oder einer Entschuldigung keine Spur.
Ich bin sehr verärgert über diesen Vorfall. In meinen Augen gehört zu einem guten Restaurant nicht nur die Küche, sondern auch verlässliche Auskünfte und einen professionellen Umgang mit den Gästen wenn im Restaurant etwas schief gelaufen ist.
Schade, meinen Besuch im vhy hatte ich mir anders vorgestellt.

Die Gerichte sind super kreativ mit gesunden Zustaten kreiert. Eine kleine Karte und dennoch kann man sich nicht entscheiden, weil alles fantastisch klingt. Das was mein Mann und ich hatten (es war viel:)) war auch genau das. Der Service war trotz des vollen Lokals mega. 100% zu empfehlen!

Been there for breakfast/brunch. Good variety on healthy, sweet and hearty options from porridge to grilled cheese sandwich, pancakes etc. The service was very friendly and quick. Interior design warm and comfortable with lots of plants and wood, relaxed atmosphere. We sat at the back of the room with a nice view on the outside terrace and into the kitchen.

It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it as everything is fresh and self-made. The food is really balanced and the cook definitely know what he's doing. The service is very nice. We had to wait a bit, but it was also very crowded. That's also the reason why you should definitely book a table.

Hmmm, what can we say? The menu is very small but everything we had was excellent! The starters, the main course and the ice cream( omg!)- perfect! The service was good, the food came quick. The only thing that made the whole experience a little uncomfortable was, that it was freezing cold . Outside it was close to zero degrees and we sat right by the window. We had to keep our winter jackets on..🤷🏻♀️

Modern, inventive cuisine - Edit
The place has a very hip vibe, and so does the food. The menu isn't very big, but each dish has some quirky twists mixing sweet and roasted fruit with something salty etc. Very interesting and, indeed, delicious.

Du kommst rein, wirst direkt freundlich begrüßt und an den Sitzplatz geführt. Du wirst erstmal von dem wunderschönen Design überrascht. Es gibt sehr viele Pflanzen (und zwar nur echte), viel Holz, schöne Kunst von Tim Bengel und es wirkt einfach sehr modern. Die Bedienung ist auch sehr nett.

Es gibt jeweils fünf Vor- und Hauptspeisen. Dabei ist für jeden etwas dabei. Essen schmeckt mega gut, ich wüsste nicht, was besser gemacht werden könnte. Angerichtet wird es sehr schön und du hast das Gefühl, dass du ein Designerstück kaufst. Hauptspeise war auch überwältigend: sehr zu empfehlen ist "Grünzeug": grünes Gemüse mit hausgemachten Gnocchis. Dann kam die Nachspeise: Ich dachte, dass es besser als die Gnocchis nicht sein kann und ich wurde eines besseren belehrt. Die Schupfnudeln mit Apfelmus waren mein Highlight und rundeten den Besuch perfekt ab.
Alles in allem das beste Restaurant in dem ich jemals war.

Read moreUnfortunately the storm outside led to people having to be reseated inside and this caused a bit of confusion. We didn't have to wait though as we were anyway very early (due to the storm). At all times the waiters stayed friendly although being partially overwhelmed.
The place itself is very bright but apart from that modern stylish.
The menu is small (which I like) and the food is very good and different, more modern then other vegan places in the city. The prices are on the higher side especially for the drinks. They taste great though.
Overall a good start and once they are open for a while I believe also the processes will be smoother. They should keep the friendliness and hopefully will change their menu often.
They are definitely off to a promising start.
