Megastore - Edit
This is a typical Whole Foods branch: huge, wide selection, clean, and well run, with an admittedly corporate feel (which can be good or bad, depending on your outlook). This place is by no means a vegan or vegetarian store, but since the selection is so big, they do have a bunch of vegan offerings. They have a sign announcing the immanent opening of a food hall inside the store.

great selection - Edit
Great selection of dry goods, produce, as refrigerator items. Very efficient lines. Nice upstairs seating and cafe.

It's fine - Edit
Get there early/when they open to avoid lines. I went to pick up some flowers because I missed getting them at the Union Square Farmer's Market the day before and they were not in good condition/more expensive at WFM. It's a huge store with a lot of selections.

HUGE STORE! - Edit
Possibly the biggest wholefoods I've been to- lots of space and I was impressed to see such a wide variety of 'grab and go' vegan lunch options (however I won't indulge in these because I hate plastic waste).
Read moreHuge deli and hot food counter and lots of snacks to choose from. It is busy and the queue line system shows you that!

Union Square Whole Foods - Edit
It's okay, when you're shopping primarily from Trader Joe's and need some odds and ends. Staff is very nice and helpful. Downside: It's very, very crowded. Not a great place for people with disabilities. The lines are ridiculous.

Cons: crowded, long lines, not disabled friendly

impressive store - Edit
this place is huge; very impressive. while it is spacious, it doesn't seem it since it is packed, like a beehive swarming w bees; except they ain't bees, they are fast paced NYers. dig it, but if you go to get veggies, look outside first, they may have a farmers mkt in the square outside.
