Decent, not crazy - Edit
“Vegano” - say it over and over! No cheese, no sour cream, and you’re good to go. Decent, fat messy burritos served cheap and fast.

Great vegan burrito - Edit
They have many vegetarian burritos. Options include tofu, mushrooms, veggies, spinach, and seitan. You can order them without dairy to make them vegan, and can even add vegan cheese and sour scream.

Great spot - Edit
I had the grilled tofu burrito bowl with the soy cheese and the tofu sour cream. It was incredible! It’s a small place with some seating outside which was nice. Would definitely recommend and would go there again!

Don't walk. RUN! - Edit
If I could give 5 stars I would. Myself and my partner both had the portabello mushroom burrito. Possibly the biggest burrito I have ever eaten. Very good. They also have tofu, fake chicken, vegetable and pinto bean options. We even had an extra bag of nachos and salsa. It was extremely busy when we went so needed to wait 20 minutes but it was worth it. Would recommend.

Big burritos for takeout - Edit
This is a popular, hole-in-the wall place for takeout burritos, tacos, and the like, with a few vegan options. The portions are huge, you won't leave hungry. They have a few uncomfortable outdoor seating possibilities, but this place is much better suited for taking your selections home so that you can eat in a more relaxed environment. I came here very hungry, and since there are not many other choices in the area, I was very happy to find this place to fill my stomach; the burrito I had tasted good. If you live or work in the area, this is definitely a place to consider for deliver or takeout. However, I question whether it would be worth making a special trip to eat here.

Great vegan options that aren't overpriced - Edit
I was super impressed with Burrito Box!! In addition to tofu and vegetables, they also offer a seitan option, which was really good. Their portions are huge and unlike a lot of other places, they do not skimp on the vegan cheese, sour cream, or seitan. They also don't charge extra for the vegan options which is a huge bonus.
Read morePros: Big portions, Good prices (vegan substitutes aren't extra!), Everything (especiall the seitan) tasted amazing
Cons: Pretty much takeout only, Took a while to get my order (but they were busy)

Best burrito of my life - Edit
I had the portobello tofu with soy sour cream, soy cheese, brown rice and i cried when i took the last bite, even though i was beyond full. They are also the biggedt burritos ever. They also give you free homemade chips with homemade salsa. Yum!! They have a few stools but is mainly takeaway. My boyfriend had the seitan (also vegan) and he went back the next morning for the same thing.

Many Vegan/Vegetarian Options - Edit
Burrito Box is my go-to spot for Mexican food in the Columbus Circle area. They have a variety of vegetable and tofu burrito/taco options and you can sub for soy cheese and tofu sour cream with no up-charge. My favorite is the spinach and tofu burrito.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Edit
Burrito box is my go to spot for Mexican in NYC. I eat here at least once a week, and they’ve never had any issues accommodating my simple vegan order. They have a large list of vegan and vegetarian substitutes and options to make a healthy/custom burrito (brown rice, quinoa, spinach, whole wheat tortilla, vegan sour cream and cheese, etc) and they are fast! Limited seating at their location but they offer free chips and salsa while you wait. Delivery available and if you call ahead for take away they usually only take 10-15 minutes.

Falsely says it’s vegan - Edit
They say they have tofu sour cream as an alternative for real sour cream. But vegans beware- they don’t always heed your order and will put in dairy sour cream even when told not to
Read morePros: Would be good if were truly vegan
Cons: Says it has vegan options but sneaks in dairy, Uses real sour cream when asked for tofu instead

The best burritos in the city, bar none. Delicious vegetarian menu featuring tofu, seitan, portobello mushrooms, spinach and other vegetarian toppings. We've been ordering from here for over ten years.

So excited to find a place with vegan cheese/sour cream! Make sure to specify you want the soy versions. Lovely service and not a long wait. No where to sit but there's a park down the street with tables. Definitely recommend

Cool to find a spot in Midtown with vegetarian and vegan options. If you are vegan, make sure you are clearly ordering the replacement items as they are itemized as extras i.e. Tofu sour cream, soy cheese etc.
