Excellent burgers! - Edit
We went on Saturday afternoon, even though it was super busy our food was quick and warm. 'Chicken' burger was great, healthy burger was good and the dirty fries were great!

Vegan bliss! - Edit
They have a great range of exciting vegan baked goods including chocolate and biscoff filled doughnuts. For main courses they have vegan burgers and wraps as well as some healthier options. I had the satay bowl. I felt there was a bit too much satay sauce in it but still enjoyed it. I then had a chocolate cream filled doughnut, very tasty and indulgent. Was very full afterwards! So many other things I would have liked to try if I had the stomach capacity! They also sell chocolates and sweets from some vegan small businesses. Lovely atmosphere 😎💖

It’s good - Edit
No idea how I’ve managed to not review Thrive yet when it’s the closest vegan cafe to me 💀 I used to come here all the time when I first went vegan and still pop in semi regularly, but mostly for their cake counter as opposed to their savoury options/full meals.

Nice place for a quick bite - Edit
Nice place and the staff is kind. They sell vegan snacks like chocolate as well. I ordered the buffalo bowl. That was basically lettuce, coleslaw with seitan and a lot of sauce. I would have expected more for the price.

Pretty good - Edit
It's amazing to go to a cafe where you can order everything! It is horrendously expensive though. The children's nuggets weren't very tasty, the burgers were OK. I had the chicken style burger and it was battered, I don't like batter but that's my fault. We had whippy ice creams after and they were absolutely disgusting. I was a massive fan of whippy ice cream so I was really disappointed.

A fabulous, fully vegan café that is child and dog friendly. Offering plant-based deliciousness in recyclable
Read morepackaging, using in-house made seitan, providing puppycinos for your canine best buddies, fulfilling your burger fantasies and also cleansing your need for freshness. Conveniently located, it is easy to walk to and public transport goes past the front door. There is outdoor seating, extra seating upstairs, good music and a relaxed yet professional ambience. Plus Café Thrive holds a licence so you can add a beer to your lunchtime treat. We very much enjoy coming here when the city of Southampton beckons.

Great cake selection - Edit
There seemed to be a great selection of cakes, I tried one of the cronuts and it was very sweet but tasty.

Delicious casual vegan cafe - Edit
The menu is amazing! And everything was excellent. I had a root bowl and it was packed with all the best ingredients - no skimping on walnuts in the least! Hubby had the kebab on flatbread, also yummy. It’s all served in compostable containers with genuine metal cutlery.

Could be better - Edit
Amazing that this exists now as it didn't during the 4 years I lived in Southampton. I had the fried chicken burger with fries, it was very good but I've had better. There's a lot of options, the place itself has a nice friendly vibe with plenty of seats. Will definitely visit again when in the neighbourhood.
Read moreI was back recently and had the fried chicken burger, it was huge but not that tasty & very messy to eat with all the dressing. A simpler but tastier burger would be better. The chips were really good though. I had the breakfast one day which was pretty good. I did see the cheesecake being taken out of a box so didn't bother ordering it.

Great cafe - Edit
Update Feb 2024 - Finally finally got back here after vowing to return, just very sad it took me 6 years. Really glad to see they are still going strong and I can see why as I personally think they might be even better than before, the burger is great still with a few nice tweaks like BBQ jackfruit and of particular note is their vegan fried chicken, the chicken is a great texture (better i feel than many of the flagship london vegan fried chicken) and the batter was just perfect, fried well, big knobbly and crispy without being oily. Great prices and really generous portions at the same time. Brought my non-vegan parents here and they also really enjoyed their food. Yet again their counter was full of amazing looking cafe but we sadly passed on this again as we had a pretty full on food weekend ahead.
Read moreSept 2017 - I ate here recently and we had a great experience. We both chose the "meaty" burger, it was certainly a big patty! We also tried the sides of onion rings, loaded chips and humous.
All the food was a really good quality, the toppings on the "meaty" burger were really good, it came with a nice mayo and cheese on top.
There were alot of customisation options for the burger which i liked (including things like onion rings, humous and has browns).
There were also a lot of nice looking cakes at the counter but we didn't have the belly space for those too!
The cafe was a nice size downstairs and they had plenty more seating upstairs too.
We found that they didn't serve the pizza before 5 so sadly we couldn't try any.
In all a very recommendable place to eat!
