Good for healthy and fatty meals

Various items on the menu: hotdogs, frie and burgers, but also salads and healthy bowls. Enormous amounts of food, though. We couldn't eat it all and had no room left for dessert. Garlic bread is to die for!

Pros: Kid's menu

Beautiful food, relaxed venue.

Went here for breakfast and the customer service was lovely, so relaxed and happy to help. I had a yellow fruit smoothie which I absolutely recommend to everyone! The breakfast was good quality food and get a good serving size too. I’m a big eater so this matters!

Pros: Relaxed atmosphere , Good quality food , Brilliant customer service

Pretty good

The Love Raw milkshake is brilliant. Had the dirty loaded fries, but I’ve had better seitan. Still really nice though, and lots of options

Pros: Milkshakes, Cake

Cons: The toilet!

Delicious, lots of options, cheap

This is such a cosy friendly cafe, LGBT inclusive and looots of different foods. Healthy bowls and sandwiches, but also some “meat” burgers, “cheese” fries etc and smoothies, shakes and ice creams. Super nice atmosphere. Most items cost between £5-£8, very price worthy.

Decent cake but...

Have been here many times and coffee and cake is decent. The actual food...burgers, dirty fries etc. lacks vegetables and is heavy on seitan/fake meats. Mostly beige fried food. Shame.

Immense

Have loved everything I've ordered from here and I've visited several times. The sweet treats (in particular the cookie sandwiches) are amazing. And huge. Speciality drinks like milkshakes are also delicious. They do great seasonal menus- at Christmas time the tofurkey baguette was literally the best sandwich of my life. I dream about it. Would highly recommend.

Pros: All vegan, All delicious, Reasonable prices

Wasn't that impressed

my wholefoods burger completely fell apart when trying to eat it with my hands but it did taste nice. I was put on a table that hadn't been cleared and cleaned yet and was told by the guy serving me that he would clear and clean it for me but he never did, maybe I came on a bad day. The menu seems to be mostly junk food, deep fried food, not the healthiest place to eat.

Pros: tasty food

Cons: not good customer service for me on that day, not enough healthy options

Went here for lunch and did not disappoint, will be going back for some of their baked goods! We got the NY Reuben sandwich and chicken burger with a large satay loaded chips 😍

Lovely food, lovely staff

Really enjoyed all the food, especially the "meaty" burger. The staff are so approachable and friendly, great to see not just a vegan café but a safe space for all LGBT people- would definitely recommend!

The best

Had been to the Bournemouth one a few years ago before it closed and wasn’t amazed but WOW. This place is the vegan dream. They do the crispiest ch*cken burger you could imagine and vegan Mr Whippy’s for £2. Definitely going to be our go to place.

Needs more healthy options

We visited Café Thrive for lunch recently. It's Southampton's one & only 100% vegan café and as such was pretty busy, with customers spilling onto the pavement seating even in winter. But to be honest, we weren't blown away by the food. The menu is fairly limited and lacking in healthy options. Great if you are in the mood for a burger, a sandwich or some loaded fries but not if you're looking for anything more imaginative.

Pros: 100% vegan

Cons: Lacking in healthy options, Slow service , Decor needs improving

Superb!

Cafe Thrive is the first all vegan eatery that Southampton has had. It's been a long wait but sooo worth it! Fantastic menu choices and delicious food. I had their home made 'meaty' burger followed by an amazing vanilla slice (first one I've had for over 15 years since going vegan). There are beautifully fresh salads and a great kids' menu. So much choice....will be going back very soon!

A great find in Southampton

A great little vegan cafe - really good. Plenty of healthy options and some naughty options too. Great range of desserts - though nothing healthy but isn’t that point of desserts!
Next door to an ethical supermarket too?

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good value
