Vegan US breakfast, hell yeah! - Edit
Most of the Mamalicious menu is a vegan option, and mainly focused on American breakfast dishes. It can be hard to even find something like this in the states, so to find it in Hamburg is a treat!
Read moreThe food was mostly great, my tofu scramble was a bit salty which I’m not a fan of, but under the heavy handed salting was an incredible dish that hit the spot. The chocolate French toast was sweet and rich, so a pretty good combo if you’re into sharing.
The staff are friendly and kind, even though they’re hustling. The place was roughly 60% full of customers, and the service was clearly overwhelmed since our food took 75mins to get. I did see a warning on their website about this, but a 75min wait seems really excessive. My suggestion would be to limit their seating to something they can handle on the busiest days as well as accept reservations to manage expectations, or expand their kitchen and supply more staff to handle the seating they have now.
If you’re hungover and hankering for a big ol breakfast, this is your spot!

I went there with my grandmother. The food was incredibly delicious, but also quite a calorie bomb. I had the scrambled tofu, which was nice, but very salty.

As it was a Monday morning it was not very busy. Still it took more than 45 minutes until the food came.
The waitress was okay, but not very attentive.
The Menu card was very dirty and everything was in English. I appreciate that it was all in English, but my Granny was struggling.

I barely managed to finish, the pancakes were a nice stack of three, good-sized, super fluffy, not too sweet (I didn't use the maple syrup they came with).
Highly recommended!

The prices are pretty standard for the area but in my opinion definitely worth it.
Once they make vegan milkshakes this will be my all time favourite restaurant.

Im Mamalicious gibt es leckeres Frühstück vom Kanandischen inspiriert: Verschiedene Ei-/Tofuspeisen, Frenchtoasts, Pancakes und auch beibden Getränken gibt es viele Köstlichkeiten, wie z.B. Biskoff-Latte. (Die Milkshakes sind leider wegen Milcheis nicht vegan möglich.)

I have been here twice now on two separate trips to Hamburg- it’s amazing. Almost all dishes are vegan or can be made vegan as well as all the hot drinks. The vegan French toast is a must try- it was so yummy. The worst part is having to choose between savoury or sweet! Also, the best fresh orange juice we’ve ever had! #Veganuary

Unfortunately the place was absolutely crowded when we arrived (on a saturday) so we waited outside for about 40 minutes for a free table.

But the wait had been worth it: we had an absolutely amazing and very delicious american breakfast with pancakes and scrambled tofu (with bacon and cheese).
The portion sizes were good and the scrambled tofu tasted absolutely real, we were stunned. The hot chocolate and biscoff latte were also very good.
The staff was a little bit stressed but friendly.
We will definitely come again when visiting Hamburg.

Aufgrund vorheriger Recherche hatte ich Angst dass wir lange warten müssen aber da nicht viele Leute da waren kam das Essen blitzschnell.

Ich war vor allem positiv überrascht von dem veganen Bacon da ich bis dato keinen probiert hatten, aber auch die Pancakes (mit Blaubeeren eine große Empfehlung) und das Scrambled Tofu waren so unglaublich lecker. Das Scrambled Tofu vielleicht sogar unter den besten die ich gegessen habe. Mein Kaffee war ein bisschen zu süß für mich aber falls man nur einen besonderen Kaffee trinkt ist es super so, und ich finde es prima vegan solche besonderen Getränke zu haben. Falls ich die Chance habe werde ich auf jeden Fall zurückkehren um noch mehr zu probieren!
Ich fand es ein bisschen schade und unnötig dass das Café nicht komplett vegan ist aber naja, das soll nicht davon wegnehmen dass es eine echte Empfehlung für Veganer ist!
Die Toiletten sind übrigens sehr schön.

Overall, if you manage to get in quickly and order - cool place (though a bit overpriced for what you get). For us the entire eating experience took 3h, where the first 1.5h was waiting for someone to get the order. But, cake and coffe - amazing.

Normally, the morning after a party, my friends are baking eggs and bacon while I'm sitting there biting on some bread with hummus. Luckily, that's in the past now. This restaurant has the most delicious vegan scrambled eggs (tofu) with bacon and cheese. Go here after you have partied hard in Hamburg!

Leider wurden unsere Pancakes mit Erdbeeren, welche wir nachträglich bestellt haben, vergessen. Auf Nachfrage (nach 30min) dauerte es weitere 10min bis wir neben einer Entschuldigung die Antwort bekamen, dass die Pancakes in 5min kommen würden. Nach 5min war ein Teller mit unserem Gericht fertig, die Kellnerin brachte ihn jedoch an einen anderen Tisch. Der Ärger und die Enttäuschung unsererseits waren mittlerweile gewachsen, so dass wir aufgrund der Uhrzeit ohne Nachtisch gehen mussten.
Schade, denn die Pancakes sahen sehr lecker aus.

If you're after North American diner food then this place is great! They have a range of breakfast all day items as well as some more 'comfort dishes'.
Read moreWe had the gyros plate and the Mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, some of the best I've had. The gyros plate was nice, but simply fake meat and home fries, lacking any nice veggies or salad.
The service is very friendly but slow, even when it's quiet so take that into consideration.
The food is reasonably priced, but drinks are expensive. A large orange juice was €4 and while soy milk is free, oat milk is 40c. Our two meals and two juices came to €28.
The venue has seats outside, on a busyish pavement, and plenty inside. There are clean and accessible toilets too

Totally recommended!
Edit: we took our chance and tried the vegan Gyros, Pancakes and Bagel on the next day. Wonderful 😊

I really wanted to like this place after a friend recommended it for their cheesecake. I think we were unlucky when we visited on a Sunday near closing time. Service was not great and one of the cheesecake slices had clearly been sitting in the counter for a while as the side was dry out also looked like something had dropped onto the tip, but not sure as the server didn’t say anything about it. There were a couple of other people still in the cafe and their food looked nice, especially the pancakes. Maybe I‘ll try their breakfast instead if I get to visit the city again.

Café for breakfast with many vegan options. I had the chocolate chip pancakes and a choc moch with oat milk (hot chocolate with espresso). Both were very delicious! It was just very sweet, so I couldn't eat it all, but that was obviously my mistake by not overthinking my order very well😅.

Frühstückscafé mit vielen veganen Optionen. Ich hab Chocolate Chip Pancakes gegessen und einen Choc Moch not Hafermilch(heiße Schokolade mit Espresso) getrunken. Beides war sehr lecker! Leider hab ich mich mit dem Zuclergehalt ein bisschen übernommen, wofür ja das Café nichts kann 😅 also: plant euere Bestellung gut 😅.
